Which is why the mini-street baller phase in the NBA (Rafer Alston, I'm looking at you) was always so silly. Take someone like Kyrie or CP3 out to any playground in America and they are going to house everyone off the bounce.

At this point, is it too early to say that Kyrie is the 2nd best PG in the NBA? Deron, Westbrook, and Rose might have something to say about that, but for my money, Irving is the most fun to watch.

A bit too early but it would be hard to convince me that he isn't going to be there in a year or two, especially seeing how Rose comes back from his injury. Cavaliers got lucky they robbed the Clippers of that pick.

I agree with you about how fun he is to watch. I thought it was the silliest thing in the world that people were worried about him because of Duke. He is a prototype point guard in every way. I could see him having some really big statistical seasons if Cleveland can surround him with enough talent.

I agree with everyone else completely. Kyrie Irving might be right there with Rondo as my favorite point guard to watch. He has such a smooth game.

Hoiliday - I'm actually not that mad about this one...he's a really good defender for his position which is a premium in a league full of great pgs, and he's gonna get better. He'll be overpaid, but not grossly.
Gordon - hurt all the time - GIVE HIM THE MAX!!

I see another lockout in our near future...Owners are just dumb and that won't change, and they'll ***** and complain but they are the ones agreeing to these deals. Owners can just refuse. Even the Lakers can't sign every high price FA.

I'm not really mad at the Hill deal now. I still think he's overpaid, but looking at what some players are getting, the Pacers really do it right. One of the very few teams, but I guess they learned their lesson from JO and then Murphleavy. 1 or 2 bad contracts can hurt your team for years.
Curry - think that deal is pretty good, actually. If he wasn't hurt so much, it would be max. They are getting discount for his health, and he might end up just fine for all we know.
Holiday - that one is fine, i agree. Overpaid, but he can live up to it. I don't think he's reached his potential either offensively or defensively yet.
Gordon - we'll see. It doesn't look pretty, but it's something you have to do. Worst case, they'll probably be able to pull off a Joe Johnson to Brooklyn for expirings and picks type of deal.
DeRozan deal is the one that baffles me. You only give that kind of deal if you expect a major improvement this year. Given his play till now, and his slow improvement rate, I think it's much safer and smarter to just let him hit free agency.

anybody catch TYson last night saying he'd woop Chucks ***? Chucks response was classic. he looked right into the camera and got real serious and said "Mike, when you're right you're right". lol

I don't know, but he is truly awful.

JaJuan Johnson is apparently heading to D-League. I'm a bit surprised that no NBA team has picked him up yet.

After entering his name into Friday's D-League Draft, forward JaJuan Johnson expected to be No. 1 overall pick to Ft. Wayne, sources tell Y!
I think he's certain to get a call up at some point though.

The Beard has 22 points on 12 shots for Houston so far. He really might threaten the scoring title, no one else on that team can score.

Harden is great. Just a wow trade.

NY is looking way better with Felton and Kidd playing at the same time, the ball moves better.

18/6 for Tobias Harris against Boston. Just give that kid minutes, he's gonna be good.
