So this is a long shot, but anyone in/around Franklin? I'm gonna have 6 hours to kill there tomorrow, anything at all to do other than play with my phone? Bowling alley? Movies? Something?

Lakers at 0-2. 0-10 if you want to get cute and count preseason.

Obviously the Lakeshow will get it together at some point.

But on a serious note, they won't ever reach their potential if they don't figure out how to play defense. Say what you want about the offensive system. They have so much talent on that side of the ball that they'll be an offensive juggernaut at some point. Even if it takes all season. But man they look lost as hell on D. Atrocious. You can't play D like that and compete for a title.

So MJ screwed up again by picking MKG instead of Damian Lillard? DL looks like the real deal, he is like a bigger version of CP3.

Can we finally end the argument about whether Harden is overrated because he was playing alongside Durant and Westbrook. I think it is evident and will continue to be evident that he was way, way underrated because he was on OKC. I've said for a couple of years he is a star and he is now proving it

I know it was just one game but he looked like a superstar yesterday, Houston robbed OKC and OKC is going to regret giving him away.

He was #2 on my big board by a wide wide margin. I don't liken him to CP3 they play different type of game. I fell he and Davis would both be superstars if they progress like I scouted.

way too soon. MKG wasn't expected to have huge impact early on, it's kind of a Derrick Favors type pick.

Even if it does turn out that way, it's a bit like questioning Hasheem Thabeet over Brandon Jennings. Lillard was a riser, but i don't think any GM would've picked him #2. Now if Thomas Robinson or Beal or Drummond become stars and MKG doesn't, then it's fair enough.

Yeah now that I think about it he kinds of reminds me of a young Baron Davis.

Am I the only one that thought the Mem-LAC game was the one to watch, over the LAL-Blazers?

CP3 is amazing. Just simply amazing.

I haven't read through this thread, so not sure if this has been posted already, but even if it has, it's worth a 2nd look.

Who can shoot like Nash. I dont really have a good comparison. I like the Tony Parker one because they both are elite at changing speeds. However Lillard's strength sets him apart from TP. I really dont like comparisons every player is so different in many ways. All I know is I would of done whatever it took to get him in the draft he will be what Morey calls a foundational player and you can't really overpay for a 21 year old foundational player.

Both movies and a bowling alley are available in Franklin. North of Franklin 10 miles is Greenwood with more to offer. Greenwood mall for 1 thing. Some nice eating establishments too. If you want the value sandwich of the day, try the Patriot's Grill across the street on Madison from the Greenwood mall with a stacked French dip sandwich today for $1.99!

15 miles south of Franklin on I-65 at exit 76 is the hugh 76 antique mall where you can easily spend hours there as I do.

If none of this excites you, there is always the Franklin city library where you can spend your time or stroll the Franklin College campus.

I'm sure you'll find something to occupy your time.

But I agree it made no sense to get Nash he is a good shooter which is required in the system but when you have Nash you should just run but that style doesnt win unless you defend.

I think if you give it time it will work they will need time. But make no mistake about it they will let Nash be Nash when the time comes(playoff time) IMO and they will run more and not use the Princeton as much.

But that offense is really good and would be a great fit if they didnt have Nash.

You can tell HOU just ran basic PnR and just gave the ball to Harden and said make plays for us. The Lakers could do that with Nash and Kobe now but come playoff time when defenses clamp up that wont work every time down. I like that they will have structure and eventually will have freedom(I think the shackles will come off after Christmas once it's clear they fully understand the system)
RT @ArashMarkazi: Kobe Bryant used "stupid" and "idiotic" to describe fans and pundits who want the Lakers to scrap offense after 2 games.

What Kobe wants he gets I bet they stick with it and at years end they will be better for it
