Interesting proposal on how to keep players from going broke. Instead of guys making X million a year, everybody makes $500k, then the rest of the contract is put into an annuity they get for the rest of their life. It's overkill, players can obviously do this by themselves, but it is a shame how quickly a lot of these guys go bankrupt. I'm not sure I wouldn't do the same thing if I'd become a millionaire at 20 years old.

Yeah right. Players wouldn't ever agree to not having access to their money. $500,000 per year won't last some of their car payments.

Not to mention being principally opposed to treating grown adults like babies.

Kerr and Bill Simmons both made the point that Durant will probably win the MVP this season. A real travesty if he does. As great as Durant is, LBJ is the best player on the planet. He should win the MVP. Every year from now until, well the next years probably.

Stuff like this is what makes lockouts in sports so laughable. Oh yeah the noble Billy Hunter fighting the good fight for his underpaid players!

There were reports during the lockout about the corruption of Billy. Fisher and BH had a fall out during the process over some stuff. Just another layer to the cake.
