Would you trade a future 1st rounder for MarShon Brooks?

Didnt see much of this guy last year, but I know he was a 1st round pick for the Nets, and since we need another 2 guard, wondered what you all thought about giving up our future 1st rounder for him, If we did I would rather give up the 2014 pick, next years draft is stacked.

    Brooks rookie year:

13, 4 and 2. Only 19 games not in double figures and shot 43% from the field, 76% from the stripe, and 30% from 3.

In the proposed deal, Howard, Jason Richardson and Earl Clark would be sent to Brooklyn, and the Magic would receive the Nets’ Brook Lopez, Damion James, Shelden Williams, Cleveland’s Luke Walton and three future first-round picks, sources said. Cleveland would receive Orlando’s Quentin Richardson, Brooklyn’s Sundiata Gaines, Kris Humphries (on a one-year guaranteed deal), a first-round pick and $3 million from the Nets. Brooklyn also would send [MarShon] Brooks to a fourth team to get them an additional first-round pick to send to the Magic.

Absolutely. He might be a volume scorer, but what option are we always discussing that isn't? (Crawford, Mayo, etc.) Volume scorer off the bench isn't necessarily a bad thing, unless he has Barbosa-esque freedom to fail.

Would you trade Plumlee for him? Well, there you go, next years pick will be just about as low and irrelevant.....

Depends. A lottery pick, probably not. 15 on back, yes.

I really dont think that is a fair question and here is why: The Magic do not want Brooks, they want the pick because it saves them money. So any team who takes Brooks for a 1st is actually doing them a favor. There is no way to tell what the pick will be because someone could get hurt. It is a gamble regardless unless it comes from Charlotte.

I think any pick higher than 20 is a no from me but any pick 20-30 I would do.

No doubt I would do it, at least we know what we are getting.

In a vacuum, yes. In order to facilitate Dwight Howard to Brooklyn, no.

Only 1 guy next year in the draft that I love currently Tony Mitchell of NT he would be perfect for us . I bet he goes in the lottery though I know I would take him there. Been watching some guys who are projected in the 2nd rders and don't like them at all compared too last year I think next years draft wont be that deep.

I don't like Brooks game at all so this is tough for me but I'd probably do it depending on other options.

EDIT: the GIF on this page pretty much shows why I dont like his game http://www.sbnation.com/nba/2012/2/2...ks-airball-gif

He does stuff like that every game normally quite a few times.

But do we really need a scorer off the bench?

Probably, but I'd rather us not be part of the problem.

Top 15 protected, then hell yes.

Cheap backup. Use any leftover money and get a decent PF. Hans sucks!
First time in a long time, I've been happy with the team that was constructed, and now they struggle. I blame the coach.
