Re: Off season Rumors and Speculation

I believe we can be top contenders this next season if we sign one of Brandon Roy or OJ Mayo. All we needed was better bench scoring against Miami and we would have had that series in the bag.

Well, thank God for the Pacers, Nash will have more sense than the fans and he will not come here. Maybe Chicago will be interested with Rose being out......

Obviously Roy'll have to pass a physical and all that before any deal's signed, but isn't it all just speculation on his knees at this point?

And forgive me if I don't take the twitter report of some college kid that writes for "centerstagesports" and is a Pacers fan all that seriously.

Thats the point I was trying to make in the other Roy thread. He would be worth his contract if just for that.

Three more decent names added to the list of free agents...

Lewis, a two-time All-Star, signed a six-year, $118 million contract with the Orlando Magic in 2007 and his scoring average has gone down each of the past five seasons. He averaged 7.8 points in 28 games last season.
Both the 2nd (Beasley) and 3rd (Mayo) picks from the 2008 Draft have had their Q.O.'s declined.

I won't be mad if D-will and Nash don't come here, but i hope the Pacers actually make a big pitch to them. If we were to get Roy do we still go after Mayo? I would be fine with just one but if we can get both why not?

Roy for $5 mil. Hold the Mayo.

Beasley could be perfect as a 6th man if it wasn't because he is crazy.

Sorry, I wasn't suggesting that say that they'd go after Nash....I meant to say that I hope that KP/DW does something done to address the PG situation cuz I don't think that GH/DC is a PG rotation that I'd want for the near future.

Yeah, but I'd like to see that fence post try to defend and chase Nash around on the other end of the court while he puts up double-digit assists.

Brooklyn and Atlanta are engaged in talks on a possible Joe Johnson trade, sources tell Y! Nets plan would be to pair with Deron Williams.

Both Hawks and Nets are engaged in talks on several fronts. No deal close on Johnson, but sides have gone back and forth on possibility.
