I cannot believe that Howard refuses to be rich in L.A. and play with Kobe and Nash. A beach house in Malibu sounds like a good life to me.

This is what I don't get as well......how can one not want to play with Nash, Kobe and Pau in Sunny LaLaLand? Geez.....WTF is so good about Brooklyn that he'd turn that down?

I know that there was this whole Kobe speech about him being the 3rd wheel....but your playing with Nash now....he'll dish it out to everyone so that everyone can score.

They're balking at the details BECAUSE of Howard.

Howard has no obligation to broaden his list, and Orlando has no obligation to trade him. But it's in the best interests of both to do so sooner than later.

I get that. But I'm saying that the offers they are getting now is probably better than anything they're going to get. The longer this drags out, the less likely a team is going to come up and get to a level that's deemed acceptable to the Magic.

It's time to either poop or get off the pot.

The best part of the whole thing is that going to Brooklyn was Dwight's dream, and Dwight is the one who killed his own dream. Don't skimp on the poetic justice.

Unless he is asking for $10+ mil a year ( which I don't think that he is ), from what we have read...all he is asking for is whatever his going rate is...$8-9 mil ( my guess )...but wants a multi-year contract....which is reasonable considering that he's a UFA. I don't blame him for not going with the rumored Cleveland deal where they wanted to just give him another 1 year contract.

I'm a Humphries fan. Dude rebounds and puts the biscuit in the basket. I think he'd be a very nice get for the Pacers. And, again, it hastens the departure of one Tyler Hansbrough. Keeps West fresher. Gives you the option to have 2 PF out there at the same time. I see no downside to paying him. Its not like he's asking for a crazy contract.

No, because Dwight ( stupidly ) agreed not to exercise his ETO last season...which means that he's still on the Magic's roster. He's not a Free Agent or anything.

The would only be able to resign him after that contract for whatever room they would have under the cap... It would have to be a three year deal to obtain his Bird rights...

This is what I've been saying since Shaw became a candidate for Coaching in Orlando.....anyone joining Orlando will be taking on a huge mess of a FO and Roster that is CLEARLY rebuilding around Brook Frakkin Lopez and Big Baby.
