hahah No, next year will be to find the next Travis Best. Need more guys that can dribble down the shot clock and then make stupid mistakes. Pretty much what we saw last season...only if that can continue forever.
First time in a long time, I've been happy with the team that was constructed, and now they struggle. I blame the coach.

Doesn't Plumlee have a younger brother? We may need that pick...
The poster "pacertom" since this forum began (and before!). I changed my name here to "Slick Pinkham" in honor of the imaginary player That Bobby "Slick" Leonard picked late in the 1971 ABA draft (true story!).

he's got two younger brothers at Duke. They all look and play the same.

It wasn't about being the team everyone loved, it was about beating the teams everyone else loved.

Ugh. That makes me queasy. Roy seems to be serious about Portland and that makes me sad.

I think Mason was better than Miles, last year, when I watched.

Re: Off season Rumors and Speculation

the question is why would the Magic want an unknown mid-20s pick instead of Marshon Brooks who was a real steal in mid-20s just a year ago.

It only makes sense if they are looking for a much higher pick.

Who cares. I mean, a 23 year old Plumlee is just oozing with potential. /green

I know I'm hard on Plumlee, but I will give him a chance.

Well until I hear it from Hibberts OWN lips it must not be true /PD

Re: Off season Rumors and Speculation

I'm finally ready to say it: time to prepare for the good possibility Roy is not coming back, at least not mentally. If Wells' report is true, it doesn't look like Falk using Portland for leverage. Roy appears to want to help them retain Batum before signing him. Smoke=Fire.

Not sure why? He's in Portland for the physical which they are going to make him get before extending the offer sheet. If he DIDN'T go it would signal he wasn't going to sign the offer sheet at all, which would be silly.

Som folks are reading far more "would only do this if..." into these actions than they deserve.

Or throw in a first-round pick and flip it for a max-level point guard...

Thanks for the reply BillS. That makes me a little less concerned. I won't jump off the bridge yet

Yes, Plum Jam does. I believe his name is Mason. IIRC, he's a better player than Plum Jam.

Should we know who won the bid for Brand soon? It's only supposed to take a couple of days, right?

Does the July 11th deadline count for waived players as well, in terms of bidding for them?
