Did someone say something about basketball?

I would love that type of deal CableKC. I really like Jordan Hill's athleticism and versatility as a backup PF/C and Lee as a backup guard. Both players provide better athleticism and don't require a ton of shots or the ball in their hands. I think that is the kind of deal we should be looking for.

Courtney Lee is a terrific defender and an efficient shooter. He is very similar to Brandon Rush in the way they play the game. I wouldn't want everybody to be severely disappointed, so maybe it's not a great idea to bring him in (regardless of his fit).

Since I might as well provide my , I would much rather have Courtney Lee instead of Dahntay Jones. To people saying he's an undersized SG: Lee is 6'5", an inch shorter than DJ and Rush, and the same height as Lancelot. I understand that some people have a problem with Lee's inability to play small forward, while DJ can swing between 2/3. But I still feel this would further push Paul George to playing that backup forward position, thus giving Lee open reign at the backup shooting guard position.

EXCEPT (and this is the biggest factor) we still have George Hill and Lance Stephenson to backup Paul at the 2. As is evident, until Frank starts giving Dahntay's backup small forward minutes to George, I would much rather find someone to replace Dahntay's 2/3 swingman position.

Regardless, we don't need Lee that much, especially if he has expressed disinterest in returning to Indiana (much akin to myself a couple years back).

Yep! I've never been a Otis Smith GM fan. He's made terrible decisions. Drafting Orton was laughable. The kid score 3 PPG at KY as a b/u.

You keep saying SF would be his best position, but there's just no evidence to support that. His coach avoids playing him there except when he thought he needed to put him on LBJ (this was a disaster that was not repeated) and for a few spot minutes he was put on Rudy Gay. Rudy Gay isn't an overly physical player so he wasn't able to abuse Paul George like most small forwards can and do.

Anyhow, at shooting, guard not only does PG contribute to a tall wing tandem, he has the advantage of being taller, and having the size to post up most two guards in the league. Clear physical advantages.

At SF he just doesn't have any physical advantages except the ones you're dreaming it up in your head. It's ridiculous that merely because of PG's height, a small part of this board has decided he must be a SF. haha. He can't even play the position. Now, Joe Johnson? There's an example of a two guard that has no problem playing SF if the need arrives. If only PG could... that'd be nice.

The thing is, that wing positions are the same, with the only real difference being most SF's are physically bigger than most two guards. But you take the actual attributes of any two guard, and I'll find a SF that has the same and vice versa.

So that's why I find it so ridiculous that some here call PG a SF. He can't even play it, and he is one of the FEW two guards that just aren't physically big enough to play SF.

Here's what you'll hear from the "PG is a SF" crowd:

"shooting guards need to be great dribblers, PG is not" Just like Reggie Miller right?
"Forwards are at least 6'8" (i don't know if anyone would say that, but I know they believe it) just like Charles Barkley right?
"PG needs to use his quickness against SF" I'm sure PG can do that against guys like Iggy, Gay and LBJ. Oh wait, they're all quicker than George. (Here's a hint, PG isn't overly quick. He moves well, and has great foot work, but he's not overly quick)

Get over the PG is a SF. Or he can play SF. He can't. At least not yet. And when he does have the ability to play that position, no the Pacers aren't going to move him over to play SF where we already have an all star starting there.

I didn't know. Are we talking about BRush v2 that isn't as passive?

I know he's a great man defender, but I also remember hearing that he's somehow one of the worst pick-and-roll defenders in the league despite being considered one of the best young defensive players overall.

Whether that would contribute to him being any kind of headache is anyone's guess, but I'd say if we threw a 3yr/$15M contract his way, he'd be more than happy to play whatever role we ask of him.

Lee is a defensive specialist that shoots the hell out of the three and is capable of spot minutes at the 1 and 3 (and/or as a starter at the 2) if we lose some depth to trades/injury. I'd be extremely happy to see him as our 6th man.

listed is the key word. i don't have his pre-draft measurements, but i've seen him and he's not that tall.
