Re: Who means more to their team and why
I voted for Zach Randolph. The Grizzlies may have adjusted to play without him and win a fair share of games regardless but he means a lot for the offensive flow of their team. Marc is just a good and willing passer and pairing him with PFs who are inferior to scoring is a shame.
Bogut is very important for the Bucks as well and an equally (if not more) passer as Marc but the Bucks' offense does not run through him. Bucks have a great offensive flow even when he is out (as they showcased tonight) and they have scoring options when it comes to bigs. Gooden, Leuer, Ilyasova are good scorers and even Mbah a Moute with Sanders can score more reliably than Haddadi and Cunningham. Bogut is surely missed in size and rebounding ability though.
However, I think that the player who is missed by his team the most is none of the two. Andrea Bargnani is really huge for the Raptors.Originally posted by IrishPacer

Re: Who means more to their team and why
Bogut is more important at least Memphis has two guys in Gay and Gasol that can fill the void, The Bucks only have Brandon and Dunleavy to fill it@WhatTheFFacts: Studies show that sarcasm enhances the ability of the human mind to solve complex problems!Comment

Re: Who means more to their team and why
I think you mean that Bogut means more to his team. If he's out, an already talent-depleted team is in even more of a hole, while the Grizz have enough talent to replace a lot of his production. Though not necessarily his impact.
Another way to look at it is that, if Randolph is out for the season, and Memphis really needs a replacement, they have assets that they can trade to get that player. The Bucks may be able to kind of replace Bogut via trade but it would take away consequently more important players and leave them in an even worse position. You Got The Tony!!!!!!Comment

Re: Who means more to their team and why
Bogut is more important, of course. He's among the top centers in the league and by far the best player on his team.
Randolph may have been the main player in Griz's playoffs run, but he had guys like Gasol and Conley around him, and solid role players like Mayo and Allen. And now Rudy Gay returned from injury too, and he's probably a better all-around player than RandolphOriginally posted by Piston PrinceBobcat fans telling us to cheer up = epic fail seasonComment

Re: Who means more to their team and why
I think a healthy Bogut means more, but he hasn't been the same player since his elbow dislocation.
Zack means a lot though, Memphis just has the depth to over come missing one of their best."Just look at the flowers ........ BANG" - Carol "The Walking Dead"Comment

Re: Who means more to their team and why
There's your answer right there. Memphis has more depth to over come the absence of Randolph, therefore making him not as important as Bogut.Comment

Not exactly answering your question, but Randolph is one of the more extraordinary players I've ever watched in the NBA."Look, it's up to me to put a team around ... Lance right now." โKevin Pritchard press conference

Re: Who means more to their team and why
No.
The Bucks are not a lottery team this year. They do not win majorly but they can still make the playoffs.
Memphis has more depth but not in Zach's position. At least, not with Darrel Arthur being out as well. Cunningham and Speights cannot work with Gasol as good as Zach could. The Bucks are not as deep as the Griz in general but they are deep when it comes to forwards. With various combinations of their forwards they can cover for Bogut without hampering the team's offensive flow.Originally posted by IrishPacer

jmo, but gasol is the key to this question. gasol is much closer to randolph's ability level than anyone the bucks can trot out. bogut is the only star player in the milwaukee frontcourt, so his loss is more significant.Comment
