Shouldn't Mike's ration of minutes be over soon?

I also don't disagree with you here. I think Mike deserves to start some games in the next 4-6 weeks.

I just don't think we should put him back in the starting lineup too soon. Maybe after week or so. He's only been back a few weeks now and I think putting the starting SF pressure and "Danny's replacement" on him is not a good idea right now.

I'd say give it a week at least if we're really struggling with Brandon in the starting lineup.

It's a good thing we have four second-best players.

        [~]) ... Cheers! Go Pacers!

To those "fire O'Brien" people with Granger out with an injury, it just gave O'Brien a security blanket to finish out the season as coach. I really expected it anyway. Next year is a totally different story.

I'll be PO'ed when we get #13 in the summer. If we lost that game to Milwaukee we might have Brandon Jennings right now. This is a lost season, like last, and we deserve a decent pick.

Last week they had the 4th worst record in the league, had an 11.9 percent chance of winning the lottery and were in line to land a franchise type player like Derrick Favors or DeMarcus Cousins. This week? They have a 1.7 percent chance of winning the lottery, have the 8th worst record and are in line to draft Cole Aldrich or Greg Monroe. Way to go Jim O'Brien. Rest Danny Granger the rest of the season (if it isn't too late) and give Josh McRoberts lots of minutes. That ought to do it." - Chad Ford on winning meaningless games

Way to go Jim, you may have just put our franchise back another 4+ years.

Its an overuse injury and he's on the court sooner rather than later. I suspect the rationing of his minutes may continue until spring. Either because the doctor says "limit them now" or the re-aggravation from continued overuse limits Mike later.
Why do the things that we treasure most, slip away in time
Till to the music we grow deaf, to God's beauty blind
Why do the things that connect us slowly pull us apart?
Till we fall away in our own darkness, a stranger to our own hearts
And life itself, rushing over me
Life itself, the wind in black elms,
Life itself in your heart and in your eyes, I can't make it without you

Re: Granger to miss 4-6 weeks

Well I let the news settle. I am not surprised this happened.

Danny has been dinged up all year and he played when many thought he should sit.

Plus you see the Pacers just got back the majority of their injured players. And so someone had to be injured. It is the price we pay for being the Pacers.

It is do or die for Brandon though. Either he excels or he is buried behind Head and Watson.

It's obvious he can't stay healthy during the regular season, so no.
