I'd say it's essentially a wash. When they're healthy, Tins has proven to the better player, despite Starbury's hype. But Tins never stays healthy.

Just had a 58" plasma installed above the mantle today... plan on breaking it in with tonight's game. If it jinxes us, I'll obviously have no choice but to ditch the TV...

It's probably close to a wash ability wise but Tinsley's injury history and more importantly, his contract, make Marbury far more valuable.

I voted for Tinsley -- if he gets enough votes and some GM would happen to look at the board I want to give him some encouragement.

                Smilie overload!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can't be serious. When they were both healthy and happy, Marbury was definitely the better player.

As far as his impact at this point, I'd say it is probably minimal.

It might be a wash now, but it wasn't in their primes.

Marbury has had seasons throughout his career that Tinsley could only dream of, and this is coming from someone who thinks that talent wise Tins could be a top 15 PG.

Complete career NBA stats for the Boston Celtics Point Guard Stephon Marbury on ESPN. Includes points, rebounds, and assists.

Look at the stats the dude put up from his Nets through first two years as a Knicks. Tins could not do that. He shot better percentages each year than Tinsley EVER did. His stretch from 1999-2005 may have been the best, statistically, of any PG in the NBA during that period. Yes, he has attitude problems, but so does Tinsley. Talent wise it's not even close. Marbury by a mile was the more talented PG. Notice I said was cause now I don't think either one is very valuable.

Geez....wrong game to break in a TV. You choose to break it in when we play one of the top teams in the East....minus our 2 top players.

Philly is also in the Garden tonight to face the Knicks

                        Detroit is also in Orlando

If the Pacers can pull off a win tonight... the playoff race could get even tighter!!

Even with a loss, there's a good chance the standings at least stay the same and we won't lose ground

I have no desire to see a sub .500 team in the playoffs.

There will be sub.500 teams in the playoffs, the way it's looking. Might as well be us.

Pretty positive it's not going to happen, though, with the Granger / Dunleavy situation, and Milwaukee's unwillingness to fold. (Scott Skiles FTW?) I'd still love to see the team prove me wrong.

                            [~]) ... Cheers! Go Pacers!
