    Re: Official Summer League Thread

The movement in this game has been bad ... even for summer league.

Altogether underwelming, but hey, it's summer league.

on the bright side, Earl C is working hard and playing pretty well. Andre Emmett is also having another fairly good game.

Neither Shawne or Stephen are standing out unfortunately

Nice shot by Shawne to bring it within 1.

Pacers came back! What a contested three by Shawne!

Shawne didn't have a very good game tonight. Calloway and Emmett did, though.

Yeah in David Thrope chat the other day, I believe when asked about a summer leaguer who would make a roster that isn't already slotted in for a spot, and he said Calloway

In the game yesterday, I thought Williams looked a lot bigger than Beasley. Maybe he is big enough to play the 4.

But in all of the games he floated around the perimeter a lot, and that is where he scored most of his points.

Right, I see what you're saying. If Danny, Dunleavy, Shawne, Quis, and Graham were all injured, who'd play SF?

We don't need another Perkins. Murphy spents too much time on the perimeter as it is. We need a PF as in the definition of POWER FORWARD.

Yeah, Shawne's gotta stay in the paint...or at least know what he's doing when he's in there.

He'd be a decent PF against smaller lineups but we really need some kind of post play.

Sure, I agree. I was just commenting that he appears to have bulked up considerably. But he is still playing small.

JOB commented on Eddie and Kravitz that Williams was going to have trouble finding playing time with so many wings in front of him. He specifically cited how well Daniels played at the end of the year. He didn't mention him playing the 4 at all.

He did mention Granger playing there, however.

perkins really was a solid defender though

Sure sounded like it. Of course, he also said a couple of complimentary things about Tinsley, which were undoubtedly just an attempt to increase his trade value. But Tinsley was clearly not in his plans. It sounded like Daniels still might be.

I actually think Daniels brings a unique subset of skills to the team at a pretty reasonable price.
