    Rotation without Hali?

    Nembhard
    Benn
    Nesmith
    Siakam
    Turner

    TJM
    Shep
    Obi
    Bradley

The bench suddenly looks alarmingly thin. You're basically relying on TJ ball to be the entire offense for the bench.

Conversely, you could start Shep or Obi and keep Benn as a bench scorer.

I'm starting Mathurin. I want two of Siakam/Nembhard/TJ/Mathurin on the floor all times.

Rick just turned on the Ben Sheppard bat signal.

It's the TJ, Nembhard, Shep, Obi, Bradley bench lineup that terrifies me.

We miss Jarace, badly. The bench ball handling in that lineup is all on TJ. It might make sense to flip-flop Shep and Benn, as you suggested.

I'm thinking to start TJ and Nembhard both, though, but sub out TJ sooner so that they can stagger minutes afterwards.

I worry about 1st Q turnovers with Benn being a ball handler.

I don't think it happens, but if I'm Rick, I'm going big and starting Obi. Don't mess with TJ, Benn, and Shep in their bench roles. Obviously, everyone probably just has to play more minutes.

In all seriousness, the primary defensive goal for game 6 should be figuring out a way to slow Jalen Williams. The guy has been absolutely shredding us this series (especially the past three games): 17, 19, 26, 27 and 40 points respectively. Whatever lineup combination most helps us slow him down is the one that we should be rolling out on Thursday with or without Tyrese. Shai is going to get his regardless but we just can't have Jalen looking like prime LeBron attacking the rim and have any expectation of winning another game.

You know, I thought about this, but I think if we go big, they would also go big, and we'd probably be playing into their strengths. (I'm guessing you mean Nembhard, Nesmith, Siakam, Obi, Myles?)
Peck is basically omniscient when it comes to understanding how the minds of Herb Simon and Kevin Pritchard work. I was a fool to ever question him and now feel deep shame for not understanding that this team believes in continuity above talent.

Yeah. If they go big, I would expect Siakam and Obi to feast.

Though not PG, SG or SF not a terrible idea to keep the bench unit together as much as possible. Of course I'm not pushing him four as many minutes as Hali. But 12 minutes is acceptable.

Really sucks we can't use QJ.

If we have to, subtract Hali's 34 minutes...

                        give 12 more to TJ
                        give 8 more to Obi
                        give 8 more to Mathurin
                        give 6 more to Sheppard

Hope nobody gets in foul trouble

                        Go to Pascal throughout.

If Hali is at 50% I would prefer to have him rest and get better with 3 more days rest, IF we have a game 7. Big risk to even get there, but if he plays and aggravates the injury then that might cause long-term problems

To me, it's Nembhard, Mathurin, Nesmith, Siakam, Turner

                          6th Man: McConnell.

Ben Sheppard would get a lot more minutes.

I agree the loss of Walker has been felt rotationally and will even more so if Hali is out. Would've liked to have seen him last game against Williams defensively to slow him down, and even off the bench in the frontcourt, going small, especially with how much Turner has struggled this series.

I hope we see Nembhard, Mathurin, Nesmith, Siakam, Turner line up

but if Hali is healthy, he will get the nod

if heโ€™s nursing an injury, Iโ€™d sit him. I donโ€™t want to see the Hali we saw in game 5
"So, which one of you guys is going to come in second?" - Larry Bird before the 3 point contest. He won.

Conversations most definitely need to occur if our 2nd consecutive season is ended with Hali unable to play...
