**** I hope you’re wrong. I’d feel really bad for Turner. He’s having a great season and is up for a big contract"So, which one of you guys is going to come in second?" - Larry Bird before the 3 point contest. He won.

Sadly, losing Turner while being without Halliburton likely translates into more losses.
But losing Turner before the trade deadline also means that there is far less chance of the Pacers trading him.

Nothing worse than an injury at the dying seconds of a game that is already over. For what is worth, the Orlando Magic announcing crew speculated that it was an ankle sprain like the one he had earlier in the year. They aren't doctors, obviously, that's just how it looked to them. I do hope that it's just an ankle sprain and nothing more serious.
Now, about the game. Losing to the Magic is AMAZING for the tank. They are one of the teams we should be chasing if we want to tank and losing to them is how we can get that done. Myles missing the next few games is good for the tank as well.
All in all, this was a bad game and a horrible loss if one wants us to push for the playoffs this year but a good game and a great loss if ones wants us to tank.Originally posted by IrishPacer

Amagine getting a top 5 pick, what a extra talent we could add to this core. It would be so much more valuable than a play-in.. We will get many many play-inns next year's. But not the chance of real secure talent tru the draft.
Ps if we could get the top 5 pick.. How much higher can we trade up with our other draft picks? Are there even teams willing to add our top 5, 20, 30 plus there own second rounder to there team?

Well drat! I was hoping the Pacers would beat the odds and win last nite. Tough schedule, no Haliburton, 2nd game of a back to back when the starters played heavy minutes the night before, then had to fly 900 miles to Orlando. However--if you look at the box score you will see that the Pacers had 5 players in double figures, 3 (Hield, Turner, and Mathurin) over 20, the other 5 Pacers scored a total of 18 points. The Magic had 2 players over 20 points and 5 in double figures, BUT the next 6 players scored 39 points. That was the difference.
Both Mathurin and Banchero demonstrated why they are the two leaders in the Rookie of the Year honors. Turner had another good game 22 points, 13 rebounds and a block. McConnell was 8 for 8 from the field with 8 assists. Turner hurt his foot/ ankle right at the end of the game. He didn't seem to be limping after the game as he went to the locker room. Hope that's a good sign.
Looking for the Pacers to get back on track soon and make a run for the playoffs. If we are going to contend for the championship in the next few years we will need all the playoff experience and winning culture we can get. The Bucks on Friday nite, one more tough game. That's life in the NBA. Go Pacers!Go Pacers!Comment

Whelp! Can't trade Turner now...And I am sure that Myles will love a chance to sign that extension now.
The Pacer way. Hold fast.... don't make a decision until the decision is already been made for you.
Pacers just love signing players who can only hold up for 1/2 a season.
Hope I am wrong, and that's its just a mild sprain. But this is the Pacers and Myles Turner we are talking about here.
