Have been fully on board with the tank for the past week or two but it was fun to see the energy tonight and they deserved the W. You could tell by the late third quarter that we were probably going to win this one. TJM has been playing out of his mind lately.

Being a big Terry Taylor fan last season I was really happy to see him have a good game.
I really thought he'd be a factor off the bench this season, so far he hasn't done anything till tonight.
He was playing the first several games this season and didn't produce anything positive. I was really disappointed. Sent back to the G league, he puts up amazing numbers there. I'm still hoping it can translate to the big league.
Maybe he still can be a productive bench player. He's still very young.

I had somewhere in the neighborhood of 16 Bulls fans sitting near us tonight. Some were decent about their fandom, in other words they basically just sat there and would clap if something went right for them (which early on was often) but we also had the typical Bulls fans who were there to take over our fieldhouse and talked smack the entire game. Well that is up until the end.
I don't care if we go 2 and 80 in a season (well really I do) but as long as those two games are against the Bulls I'm good. Knicks fans are sometimes fun, Clippers fans are usually hilarious, Lakers fans are obnoxious and the further away we get from Bird playing for them Celtic fans are only now slightly irritating. But my God there is no more insufferable fan base than the Chicago Bulls fans. They always have been and most likely always will be.
Also not sure what happened with Brissett, we speculated he was late to a team meeting or something as he got a DNP and Queen and Taylor were the first subs in the game.Comment

Bulls fans from last year actually thought they were gonna be contenders for the next few years. There trash stuck in the mud with a bunch of veterans and no young talent.Comment

By far his best showing of the season, which is an incredibly low bar because he has looked completely incapable of contributing meaningfully in any way within an NBA offense to this point in the season. Had some quality energy plays, putbacks and rebound tip outs though. Curious to see if it leads to more PT for him. Oshae hasn't been particularly effective lately either after that hot stretch of games he had there for a while.Comment

Wow, I loved the game. First we beat the Bulls! (like Peck I really don't like Bulls fans, I was sitting in Area 51 several years ago when a dunken Bulls fan come over and picked a fight with one of the guys in the section. The Bulls fan got clobbered. The police come, forcebly took the Bulls fan out of the arena, then asked the Pacers fan to not drink so much...Loved it!) As TJ said after the game, many young teams in the NBA would have rolled over after a long losing streak, and being down by 21 but the Pacers did not fold, they regrouped, fought back and WON!TJ, Myles, and Benn were simply wonderful, not to mention Hield with his DEFENCE, as well as his 19 points. This season, with the exception of Jalen Smith, is unfolding the way I predicted. Mathurin in the 4th quarter had some moves that looked much like Roger. Most fun I've had watching basketball in a long time! Go Pacers!

Could be that Taylor gets more of Smiths minutes if he doesn't find a way out of his fog. Maybe even on the floor with Brisset like we saw some last year.Comment

TJM has been doing a really good job of running the point ( as always ) while putting up really good numbers.
On the other side of the coin, it would seem that Nembhard has hit the rookie wall but still capable of contributing in a positive manner. For the same reason that Mathurin is playing Starter minutes but coming off the bench, is there any reason why Nembhard shouldn't do the same where he gets similiar starter minutes but having the pressure of removing him from the Starting lineup?
Anything is possible while Haliburton is out but once back and with TJM's ability to push the pace and collapse the defense he can be pretty important to the viability of the 2nd unit offense.Last edited by Downtown Bang!; 01-25-2023, 11:44 AM.Comment

Losing Lonzo Ball has completely killed them, threw a very delicate (albeit effective) balance totally out of whack. They were very good when he was playing with them the first part of last year. They’re more or less a .500 club without him.Comment
