Meh, trade him. Iโ€™m actually on the fence. Part of me wants to keep him because of how heโ€™s been playing this year. The other part wants him out because players normally play really well during their contract season.

letโ€™s try to get Kuminga in return. Itโ€™ll cost more than Turner but GS really isnโ€™t playing Kuminga and theyโ€™re not playing well. It can be like when we got Jermaine Oneal from Portland
"So, which one of you guys is going to come in second?" - Larry Bird before the 3 point contest. He won.

This was also reported a couple of days ago.

Alright Cinotimz this might be your time to shine. It is obvious to me that the Pacers still want him here or they would have either moved him or not worry about the extension. However it is also pretty clear the Myles either wants a near max deal or just wants to move on.

Either way this is near criminal level of neglect by our front office. Literally Myles has all of the leverage and they will not be able to get crap for him because unless he agrees to sign an extension with whoever we trade him for he is just a half year rental and what team is going to give up anything for a half year rental that can just bolt in the summer?

He should have been moved last year for whatever we could have gotten because even injured he still would have brought in more than what we are going to get now unless Myles works with us on a trade.

My real fear is that they won't do anything at all with him and they both will just do some form or dance with each other over the summer still playing out that they are going to come up with an extension.

Look my feelings towards Myles over the years have been very clear but I will say this. If what we have been getting this year would have been what we had gotten in the past from him I would never have been as opposed to him as I was. However I temper that by saying and wondering, it is a contract year, are we getting the contract year effort only to have it fall off once it gets signed? Haliburton has made him look relevant and competent on the offensive end. To Myles credit he has made shots at the rim and has gone at the basket instead of pick and pop that he has done for years.

I just don't get why the Pacers allowed this situation to occur. Trading him now or at the deadline will ultimately impact the overall moral of the team and if we are still winning and then start losing it will be a major blow to the fans.

If there's merit to this report, wonder if it could have any effect on team chemistry during this next stretch of games? Probably a non-factor. Just something worth considering if things start to go south on the court.

Turner has gone full diva, just like Oladipo. Trade him and move on. Team will be better without him.

Nothing is going to be worse than them keeping him after trade deadline hoping that he signs the extension just for him to say "no thanks" putting a lot of pressure on their a** in the off season just for them to lose him for nothing.

I never believed they'd throw the bag at Myles and, in turn, roll the dice on the future. Rick and TPTB have formed like Voltron into a very competent front office, it seems. It looks like they've got this thing set on the right course.

โ€‹We should trade Myles now, but I can see ownership wanting us to hold onto him, let the season play out, then maybe sign him this summer if he sustains this level of play. I can also see him being part of a sign-and-trade for Ayton or someone else as well, so it's not a complete waste if he sticks around.

Letting him walk's not the end of the world. It's not like we're going to get a ton for him in a trade. I'm not convinced trading him would help the tank all that much either tbh.

Didnโ€™t we just open negotiations with his new agent? It seems to me like this is just a beginning offer. There is probably a lot of negotiating left.

Yeah this is an early public negotiation bit. But I would definitely look to trade him before we get too many more reports like this.
It's a new day for Pacers Basketball.

If we don't trade him, and if we lose him for nothing, this has to be what finally gets Pritchard fired right? This is GM malpractice.
