I agree. I LOVED Bogey but it wouldn’t make much sense for either side.

Interesting read on the Athletic about how teams like Atlanta, Minny, and, to a lesser extent, Chicago went all-in with trades with the Spurs, Jazz, and Magic for Murray, Gobert and Vucevic that appear to not be working and will hamstring those franchises ala NJ Nets with Garnet/Pierce trade potentially for years. (Though Chicago might be turning a corner, right now)

Not only did they mortgage their future with draft picks but also trading their deep benches of young talent. Chicago should have stayed with Carter and the pick that became Wagner as well as Markannin. Without draft picks, the only way to stay competitive is to keep signing the older veterans.

So as KP, do you use some of your draft picks to trade for their young talent that they might not be resign/extend due to salary cap/lux tax? And trade them win-now (veteran) talent with the picks to get that young talent to continue the rebuild at an accelerated rate?

        Jalen Johnson (SF) Atlanta,
Jaden McDaniels (SF), Kyle Andersen or Taurean Prince (PFs) of Minny

        other young talent to target:
        Jalen McDaniels (PF) Charlotte
        Christian Koloko (C) Toronto
        Onyeka Okungwu (C) Atlanta

I’d also be curious about Hield or Turner plus possible picks or young talent (Goga, Duarte, Nembhard) for Collins or Siakam (or Anunoboy) to address the PF or SF position which would allow starting Mathurin at 2 (or Nembhard) and/or sticking with Nesmith at the 3. I’m afraid it would break Hali’s and Buddy’s hearts to split those 2. Andersen or Prince would be smaller moves in a win-now move to address the PF position. Would we lose too much of the veteran leadership and chemistry if we trade Buddy? Is Benn ready to start?

The belief in some rival front offices persists that the Lakers are saving those picks for a splashier trade target such as Washington’s Bradley Beal or Chicago’s Zach LaVine.

you have to hand it to the media for allowing the Lakers to keep floating the insane stories they come up with. acquiring win-now talent for little more than picks in 4 and 6 years from now. Guess it’s called click bait.

          Beal to Lakers? Pipe dream

The two Jalen's are intriguing to me.

Not sure Johnson has shown enough to think he can fill the obvious hole in the Pacers roster but the few times I have seen him there is a "glide" to his game I really like and with his length so much potential as a defender. Not shown he can shoot at an NBA level from the perimeter yet, won't fix the rebounding issue but good passer and ball handler for his size. Not sure the Hawks would part with him unless they can't find a deal for Collins.

Jalen McDaniel could contribute right away. Every team in the league can use a versatile guy like that him but is kind of a longer but slighter version of Nesmith. Not sure he answers the question at the 4.

Jaden McDaniel is probably as important defensively and from a intangibles perspective to the Wolves as Gobert. I don't think he is available.

The Knicks are willing to part with Cam Reddish for two second-round picks, per @MikeAScotto

I'd take a shot at him for 2 seconds. Theres always a few exceptions, but not many second rounders make noise
"So, which one of you guys is going to come in second?" - Larry Bird before the 3 point contest. He won.

I thought about him when Pacers played the Hornets, he also has a brother that confused me that same night because he plays for Minnesota.

“Sources tell me that the Suns have emerged as a team with interest in (Jalen) McDaniels, among several others in recent weeks.”

NBA Insider @ShamsCharania reports on teams showing interest in the Charlotte Hornets forward.

No wonder he hasn’t been traded over all those years

Collins is their 4th or 5th best player. They’d be lucky to get one first.

Maybe a first and a young player and expiring?

The Gobert deal screwed everything up now everybody wants 2 first and 2 swaps for their trash players.

Why would any GM do a trade with Ainge again.
