100% these are growing pains. And yes I agree RC Sold that technical foul. He knows what he’s doing.

Turner choked hard on that final shot. When will we ever cut this bum?

Fun game. An ugly 3rd, but saw a lot of positives from most of the guys. Goga was definitely not ready for his minutes. A mix of not being too present and not getting consistent run to get a good feel. Deandre Jordan shouldn't win any of his minutes in the league these days.

I agree the foul at the end was bogus, and that Carlisle knew what he was doing with the T. Was my first thought as he clearly dropped an F bomb or two and Jokic was telling the ref to Tech him.

Obviously the late officiating was frustrating but....

1.) Hali had a play where from my perspective in my seat he had an easy layup, dunk, floater, something easy in the paint and instead he passed it up to send the ball to Jalen Smith in the corner. Normally you'd say team play, good! No. Take that ****ing shot next time Tyrese. It was a crucial moment in the game and we needed a score regardless of points.

2.) Is Rick the one most actively tanking? I thought our rotations in the second half were completely non sensical and the way we were running our half court offense was borderline bonkers. What was with the sudden dose of Goga minutes along with us force feeding him the ball? Whole second half decision making just felt extremely weird lineup wise. It felt like Rick decided to tie Myles to the bench because Jokic was in foul trouble but then he also limited IJax's minutes it felt like as well. I just don't get it. Are we tanking? Are we not? I really cannot tell based on Rick's decision making.

We have to tank... Otherwise it will be the same story of "the team no one wants to play against, but won't do anything with this one promising player that has a weak cast and no veterans"

                ^^ We have to tank?

Yep, we have to intentionally embrace a losers mentality and not try to grow a winning culture.

                Great idea there dude.

It looked like a offensive foul on Denver to me. I'll admit I'm a little biased. The guy pushed off and extended his arm.

We got no benifit of the doubt on any play in the 2nd half. I'm not that mad though, our guys played great. Tried extremely hard.

Pacergeek saying Pacergeek things. Bet it's been killing you not to have any reason to fire or cut someone.

Turner got the ball with 3.4 seconds to play. WTF was he supposed to do? He got off a decent shot under pressure. It skated off the rim. Turner played a great game against the MVP. My God some of the shots Jokic hit.

Myles and IJax were also in foul trouble so Goga got some minutes. He for sure was rusty.

The spacing between Myles & Mathurin was horrible on that last play and Myles was in the right place.

I don't think it was the right pass. Haliburton actually had to alter the trajectory just to get it there which puts the shooter in a tough spot and having to gather which adds to the defensive advantage. Haliburton's basketball IQ is off the charts though and he will be better for it next time. Also like the fact he does trust Myles in that spot and probably understood how important his 4th quarter play was in getting them there.

What I saw was a kid jumping without knowing yet where he was passing, and therefore having to make a desperation heave to Myles to keep from turning it over.

Great game by Hali, but a terrible finish.

Mathurin should not be playing only 25 minutes.

Also, that sequence that led to the Carlisle T was about as bad as it could have possibly been (both from his perspective and the official's). Hope the young guys can grow from the experience and move on to the next one.
Mostly I agree, I did not like the officiating in this game. Carlisle's tech was called by Jokic, he told the ref that Rick should get a tech for being out on the floor, the ref looked at Rick and called the tech.
Turner played a good game, he hit some good shots, he got some big boy rebounds, and he stood up to Jokic defensively in the lane.
Goga struggled. The Nuggets played like a veteran team down the stretch, and made some big plays.
The Pacers missed some open shots in the 2nd half and when confronted by the Nuggets pressure w/o Jackson or Turner they faltered.
All in all, it's still a very young team and they need to continue to put themselves in this position to win games, it's the only way to get better.
The Pacers need to do a better job of getting Mathurin a driving lane when the defense starts running him off the 3 point line.

I continue to be very excited about the way this team plays. Go Pacers!
