And one can wonder, is he still worth his salary with his on court production? Effort on defense is inconsistent, his shooting from deep is below .300 and you have to pay the man 46 and 50 million those two seasons. And Lakers are not just going to give him away for free. I think it is really hard to find a trade for him, because you are going all-in and which teams have enough assets to still be contenders after they meet the asking price?

If he was smart, he’d take less so the team can get just enough starting talent around him for a quality 6-8 man rotation for good runs at the chip. He’s making enough in endorsements and it’d pay back 10 fold in future contracts/endorsements/rings and allow him to usurp Kobe as #2 greatest.

If Turner does move on I hope the Suns keep Ayton until the offseason so we can have another go at acquiring him. As things stand though I'd rather pay Turner about $25mil a year than pay Ayton.
