So, if it WAS the wife of a VP (from vapacersfan link), it kind of helps make sense of things. BUT - what happened that spurred the investigation. Usually in these casual hookups, someone says something to someone else and somehow, it gets to the other people involved in the whole thing. But having an investigation done by an outside source (I would assume it was outside the org) - what happened to set that in motion ?? And now - there's 2 families that are just f'ed up. Yeah - I'm aware of these types of 'relationships', but the concept of that falls outside my morals (they're low at times - but I DO have some). And again - IF IT'S TRUE - there's no way he comes back to coach the team. Would make for some uncomfortable moments in the building. And WILL other teams be looking at him as a head coach ?? 5-10 years ago, I'd say yes in a moment. With today's culture - I'm not so sure.

If it wasn't consensual? Why not just fire him(which I'm sure they will anyways but suspending him is more about making sure other teams won't hire him for the season).
I can only speak from personal experience (mostly dealing with the military)

Often an executive has this clause in his/her contract. The other party may or may not have the same clause. If they don’t have the clause its on the executive to make a good decision.

As far as why not fire him - I had/have the same thought. I would venture to say there is more to this story (I have heard rumors the female party is/was pregnant, but again rumors are just that)

Prefacing with the fact everything is rumor at this point.

I read an article yesterday that said the relationship was consensual until the female party broke it off. At that point she complained to the team about continued unwanted advances.

Now does that mean a messy break up? Does that mean an uncomfortable workplace (or hostile workplace)? Does that mean overhearing comments about a past relationship?

        I have no clue.

All guesses on my end - but if she filed a complaint with HR that would explain why the organization opened up a outside investigation.

Coach Udoka not only blew up his profession career, he was engaged to Nia Long, model/actress. She was the "girlfriend" in the movie Boyz in the Hood, she's still hot in her 50's. She was recently on NCIS Los Angeles.

Well - it's good that this whole thing got out in the open then. Could have made for a really awkward moment in the delivery room.

The closest was Bill Sharman who played for the Celtics and coached the Lakers.

As I told my Laker friend the Lakers don’t care about this sort of thing so Ime would fit there.

However I see you meant Vogel. Well the Celtics won’t worry about him being community dick.

                    Matt Barnes statement is damning.

I thought they were only dating - never engaged

Though they do have a kid (10 year old?)

I read it somewhere. Of course the article could be wrong. Said they'd been engaged for a lot of years. Anyway, they probably aren't now.

Maybe but Barnes is also melodramatic. I'm taking a wait and see approach but as of not this is so far run of the mill cheating in the NBA granted that could change in the next few days but for now unless a lawsuit etc comes out? Eh.

That Celtics Media Day was.. something.

The players claim they found out on Twitter like the rest of us.. not sure I buy that but if so.. the Celtics have handled all this badly as if its deliberate or something.
