I mean, Hibbert kinda sucked for 4-5 years before he broke out. They say big men take longer. I'd like to see him get one more full, inexcusable chance.

Although Agness already quoted somebody high up saying Goga "doesn't fit the new style." So he's probably toast.

Goga should be our starting center once we move Turner for picks. No need to take any action over this incident
Why do teams tank? Ask a Spurs fan.

Goga looks very servicable when he plays. When he gets a chance he looks good for 3 games and then out for 5. Dude just can't stay healthy

Well to be fair, he does seem to struggle the first game back from a hiatus.

              Goga, meh...

People here always complaining our centers are too tough.

I know it's not all on him, but Domas hasn't played well in this tourney. A real NBA star should be dominant in this setting. Maybe KP was onto something.

The Hali trade's gonna turn out to be a massive W.

The more I read up on it, the more it looks like Turkey's coach fomented the fight by talking **** about the host city there in Georgia multiple times prior to the game and just generally acting like an ***. Their wild claims aren't adding up. I got a feeling this ends up being an even-handed ruling from FIBA and the narrative pushed by the Turks will prove to be false. But we shall see...

                    .
edit: Goga played today (and played well btw). That's more evidence Korkmaz and the Turkey coach were likely lying but the damage has already been done. Georgia players have been slandered for days and are reportedly getting death threats over this.

I could do without the political slandering there fella.. I take offense to that comment.. ... Let's keep politics OFF THIS BOARD PLEASE !

Nope I erased it. That was hardly political though.

Goga dominating. He claims to be in the best shape of his life. I don't think Sabonis scored 17 in a full game yet, let alone a half. Granted Lithuania's played tougher matches.

Goga had a great first half yesterday but went a bit quiet in the second half, finished with 21 pts, 6 rebs in 28 minutes.

He's still very young and - being drafted by a team that was already loaded at the Center spot - was never given much of a chance in Indiana. However, having watched the last couple of games (in which he all performed well), I doubt that today's run and gun jacking up 3pts NBA style is a good fit for him.

Could be a different story if he was born 10 years earlier.
