    NBA Draft Prospects 2022

Considering the Pacers situation I think it is time to look at what is available in the top ten in the draft.

My first player is Patrick Baldwin...a slightly taller PG. Gets his shot whenever he wants.

I am not promoting any one player at this time.

Jaden Ivey can be our version of Ja Morant with a better jumper.

Jabari Smith is another player that we can draft. He’s a Kevin Durant/ Evan Mobley type of build. In this scenario we will have to trade both Myles and Sabonis but that’s fine.

PBJ is a tough one for me, apparently scouts aren't really liking what they are seeing from him. He is a guy that if we end up picking in that 6-9 range I don't really want, but if we can get another late lottery via trade I'd be all about it.

I'd be happy with Jabari Smith, Chet Holmgren, Paolo Banchero or Jaden Ivey which will obviously require a Top 4 pick for them, so let's pretend we end up in that 6-9 range.

Kendall Brown is an absolute athletic monster with a high motor & insane good defensive tools already. He also shows signs of a nice offensive game, but the selling point right now is the type of athlete he is. Oh did I mention he is a big wing/forward, you know that position we just don't really have?

Bennedict Mathurin looks like a walking bucket at this point in Arizona, but the only thing is he is another SG like Duarte & I think there would be too much overlap there.

Keegan Murray gives me Danny Gramger vibes I'm not going to lie. A very stout defensive forward & this year has unleashed an offensive arsenal currently at 23ppg-9rpg on the season for Iowa.

Not exactly the ideal size or athlete we need, but I like Kennedy Chandler. #1 PG coming out of high school that'll probably fall in the draft. Might be able to get him in the teens if we can acquire another pick.

A lot depends on where the Pacers end up. At 10 I would be ok with him. Certainly Ivey would give the Pacers something they desperately need.
I am curious how people see him vs VO?

For me an Ivey comparison is that Victor Oladipo we saw here in Indiana that first year. Ivey might be a bit more explosive though which is pretty mind blogging.

What’s your take on Jabari Smith?

I'm already on the Jaden Ivey train.

I'd have no hesitation taking him #1 overall if we got that pick, him & Chet Holmgren have awesome 2-way ability, very much the modern PF that we are lacking.
Jabari Smith Jr reminds me a lot of Jaren Jackson Jr & I think he may be a bit more versatile offensively as well as a stronger rebounder.

He's not even half the playmaker that Ja is. Morant's passing ability is top 5 in the league I think. Ivey makes some pretty plays still, though.

I think VO is just about the best comp for him atm.

Banchero is the clear #1 guy IMO. From there it gets a bit murkier. Jabari probably number 2 for me.

I probably need to see more of Banchero but he really doesn't do it for me.
