I agree. Anything beyond the original Brogdon + 1st round pick & filler is getting too much for somebody that can’t shoot, is afraid to shoot, and is apparently working super hard on his skill development in Wimbledon this summer despite what happened in the playoff.

It just kind of depends on how you use the term. Players #19-40 in the NBA right now are very similar. Simmons is in that group. So him making All-Star teams is not surprising, him missing would not be surprising either.

Having said that, I'd trade anyone on our team except Domas and possibly LeVert. We have enough good but not great players that you could ship two of Brogdon, Warren, Turner, Lamb, or a sign and trade McD. Hope Bitadze, Sumner, and/or Brisset can step up into important role players for us.

I mean he's under contract, he's an all NBA guy, all defense guy, he's 25. Again, the warts are there and they are obvious, but look at some of the guys who have been all stars. Ben's all star caliber any way you slice it up

The thought is put him in the Draymond Green role. Simmons screens and gets a lot of passes on the short roll 15-18 feet away from the basket, sometimes in a 4 on 3 situation if they try to blitz Trae or Dame. It is hugely beneficial to have a good driver/passer in that spot and a quick decision maker.
