I believe TJ requested a trade at the time and was told to give it a chance.
So now that the bleacher report article confirmed the Nate issue, did TJ Warren request a trade?

One of the sources I was reading earlier today - can't remember if Woj, Yahoo, or ESPN - mentioned that narrative. But not in an assertive it was ever confirmed sense. Has it been confirmed at this point? No TJ denied when it first came out. They were together in Phoenix.I'd rather die standing up than live on my knees.

I don't think the firing of nate proves all the reports in the BR were correct. And as i said when it came out i don't buy that Warren demanded a trade - doesn't seem logical to me. Pacers talked to him before hiring Nate. So how does that actually work.
The best source on the Pacer is JMichael and he said he has no info that Warren requested a trade.Comment

Yeah if Nate was fired soon after the season was over that would be an indication alot of the B/R stuff was true. Waiting for weeks to fire him makes the article look less legit to me.
I want to hear what the players have to say. They didn't have a problem throwing old Nate under the bus on his way out.Comment

Brogdon's name seems to come up consistently in reports of somebody who was critical of Nate I, and perhaps influenced consideration leading to his dismissal. Reports have also indicated Nate II buddied up to he and Sabonis, taking them out to lunch, trying to cultivate a very close relationship, and then ultimately the more recent reports suggesting those two were treated differently and not held accountable, causing locker room issues.
It would be interesting to actually be able to know who thought what about both Nates, who voiced what about them, and how much that affected the FO's ultimate decisions, if at all. The picture painted by the reporting seems to place Brogdon right in the middle of both cases.I'd rather die standing up than live on my knees.

Some of the players. But it's not clear all of the players. See UB's post right above yours. We aren't certain who exactly disliked Nate I and/or who precisely didn't criticize him and/or even supported him.

The picture painted by the reporting seems to place Brogdon right in the middle of both cases. And Brogdon, league sources with direct knowledge of the situation tell IndyStar, was the most outspoken and unhappy player among a core group of four with an isolation-heavy offense that couldnโt win a game in a 4 vs. 5 matchup for the second year in a row. The Pacers have been swept in 3 of the last 4 seasons.
.
I suspect we'll learn more about how individual players felt about new Nate as time goes on.
