    Play-in thread: (9) Indiana vs. (10) Charlotte

Two teams beat to hell by injuries. Don’t know where the pendulum swings but I’m going with Indiana’s experience over Charlotte’s youth.

    Prediction:

It wasn't about being the team everyone loved, it was about beating the teams everyone else loved.

Brogdon will more than likely be back and I wouldn't be surprised if Turner returned ( his toe can heal in the off season.)

Three straight years of major injuries going into the playoffs. How does that even happen. Back to back years where our reining all star missed the playoffs now this year three starters out. WTF this has never happened since the Reggie days.

I pretty sure I read Myles was definitely out.

I think there is zero chance Turner plays. He has not been doing any drills or even shooting if I heard the commentary correctly.
Brogdon at least was shooting before games.

If Brogdon returns, I'd start either TJM or AHo (prefer the former) and have Brogdon essentially playing 3 (especially on D) along with LeVert, Brissett, and Sabonis.

Then working in TJM/AHo, JHo, McD, Goga, Martin/Sampson (last two as needed game dictates). Only issue is possibly losing the Domas-McD dynamic, but if you work rotations right, you could still get them time together on the floor.

I just don't want Brogdon anywhere near major ballhandling chores. Two other guards in puts him an extra "step" away from too much involvement there.

This assumes we won't see Turner and Lamb, of course. Personally, I wouldn't be upset if Brogdon still can't go.
I'd rather die standing up than live on my knees.

I'd be OK to roll w/out either Turner or Brogdon. Any word on Lamb?

I much prefer Martin over Lamb at this point. I say Brogdan returns. I'm ok with that as long as LeVert carries the ball handling.

Brisett is obviously a better player than Turner so let’s hope they don’t pull some bs at this point.

Have they released the date and time for the game yet? Also, I haven't been keeping up so well with the Hornets. Who are they missing?

It looks like the game 6:30pm EST May 18th. Gordon Hayward is ruled out with an ankle injury. I think this is the ankle that he hurt against us the last time we played.

I"m sure that Turner is out for this season, I'm equally sure that Turner is a better player than Brissett, I hope that we keep Brissett as Turners back up next year.

Brissett has been impressive. If he can keep us this level of play going into next season then I would say that he is better than Myles. It's clear that he is a much better fit than Myles.

Why on Earth do you want to continue to start Sabonis and Turner? Do you hate both of them? I don't get this at all. I think people think it is being sunshiney/supportive to say they should continue to start, but it makes both Sabonis and Turner worse players.

Brissett as a starter is averaging 13 PPG, 7 RPG on 47% from the field and 42% from 3 in 16 games. He can switch between the 2-5. If he's not starting at the 4 next season, then it needs to be somebody exactly like him.

As a season ticket holder, I will be seriously disappointed if we start Sabonis and Turner as the front court again next year. Why do we want to force this?
