Beal is elite. Heckuva player. We also happen to have a glut at his position.

What we truly need is an elite four to complement our All-Star center. Myles is good, but he is not a good complement to our All-Star. We need a four who can provide rim protection, also quick enough to get to the perimeter on defense, and a threat from the outside. I'm sure they are hard to find, but if we are dreaming up crazy trades for Beal, we should do the same for the player we really need. Jerami Grant has been bandied about. Who else qualifies?

Unless you're talking about Kevin Durant, LeBron James, or Giannis, that player doesn't really exist. You have to basically completely throw out one of the categories to get it to work. Grant doesn't protect the rim at all for example. Bam Adebayo is really good in the first two categories, but isn't a threat from outside.

The Pacers would love to essentially have Boston Al Horford, but that player isn't in the league right now.

Jerami Grant doesn't qualify for any of the things you discussed, but I think he's a potential fit next to Domas and Myles if you keep both of them, do you like Grant's athleticism and rim running better than say TJ Warren's mid range game? That should be a question you're asking yourself.

As far as elite big men who are also better than Myles and better fits next to Domas who might be coming available soon, the list is basically empty.

I'd argue as you look around the league, the only big men who truly are better than Myles and fit better next to Domas than he does is like, Anthony Davis and Giannis and Durant if you used him defensively like Golden State did.

Again I think we need to wait at least on Levert and hope he and Warren can improve their trade value. Ideally you'd part with one of them, a young player and a couple picks to get an all star I think.

I don't see the issue with the Domas/Myles fit right now. They are playing well off each other. The team needs more perimeter defense and more athleticism on the wing IMO. That's why I'm not sure Beal is the guy either.

It's funny to say but what this team really needs is a Paul George lol

The question should be, "what power forward is attainable that you can play next to Sabo vs Championship teams that's not a liability?"

The answer to that question is Grant, Woods, PJ MF Tucker, Thad Young, Randle?

Of course a healthy TJ Warren could be nice as well.

Also I don't see Jerami Grant wanting to come here or Detroit dealing him. He went to Detroit because he wanted to be the guy.

Pacers matchups if they want to do something at some point in life are KD, Harden, Simmons, Embid, Giannis, Tobias Harris, Adebayo, Jimmy just to name a few.

"Twin towers" is a nice thing to do against Memphis, Chicago, it gets fans all excited and s*** fact is it won't work against the top teams, specially if they figure out how easy is to destroy that lineup, just play zone D and in offense drive and kick for an open 3 every time that's it.

We don't need a 4, we need a big 3 who can compliment our 2 bigs up front & can slide over to 4-spot when needed. Love the idea of Covington, but also like Kelly Oubre (his defense has been huge for GSW), Otto Porter (Free agency target, would need to be S&T) & Harrison Barnes (Tough to make the money work for fair value in return).

I feel with Levert, Lamb, McDermott & Holiday we can create enough wing offense to make up for the absence of Warren if he were to be traded. In saying that TJ is a strong dude, he doesn't have great reach, but he played really good defensively last year so let's see if he can go up another notch.

Yeah, he was good last year. Kind of going the other way this season.

i don't understand people with this fantasy of moving domas to the 5...defense is a disaster with him trying (or "trying") to rim protect...ok, then, people say, get a 4 who can rim protect...THAT'S BASICALLY MYLES ALREADY

it's like people want a rim protector but just want him to be shorter than myles or domas? tf?
