I'm from Lithuania and we will never forget the euro 1995 finals. Maybe, my commrades will criticise me on this one, but I do think that Vlade had almost as much talent as Sabas, but some 2-4 inch less.

Well, here's my part: A very good player. I would say great, but I still feel dissapointment of how his career ended. Dissapointing trauma in LA, decision not to play in his national team. Despite that, he's the 2nd best European center ever to play in the NBA, right after Sabonis; and probably he had the best NBA and international career among centers from Europe.

Greatest center to ever play the game. A real class act. I always wanted the Pacers to get him. I think the classiness of Reggie and him would have brought Indy atleast 3 rings.

He should, Sabonis had the reputation of having somewhat of a mean streak (played tuff). While many considered Vlade on the soft side, of course this could have been only a perception because of the constant flopping.

Charlotte didn`t need a SG but they needed a C so they did the trade.

In 1984. Draft, Portland didn`t need SG (they had Clyde Drexler) so they passed MJ and picked Sam Bowie (center).

Those looked like normal decisions when they were made but...
