David West is feeling himself! He's amped about winning his first NBA Championship! (via @BontaHill) #DubNation pic.twitter.com/mvVYSDnMHd

Re: Congrats on the championship David West
Pathetic. No one even seemed genuinely happy during their celebration. Spurs revenge season after their heart breaking lost i can salute. They regrouped came back with their squad and kicked ***. But this was just pathetic!Impossible Is NothingComment

One of my favorites non pistons since his new Orleans days. Happy for him.
It wasn't about being the team everyone loved, it was about beating the teams everyone else loved.

Re: Congrats on the championship David West
I like DWest even now. But still I'm curious what he's amped about. Serious question. I have no problem at all with him chasing rings at this stage, but I don't get why an accomplished NBA player may as well been the ball boy or a janitor or concession stand worker for a team he's never played on...and be amped. Again, serious question. His presence did not change the outcome or really move the needle. Also, it's not like anyone cares that James Jones has 3 rings (or does he?). This victory, if anything, might cheapen his legacy too. JMHO.Comment

Re: Congrats on the championship David West
There no such thing as someone winning a championship and somehow being hurt by it. If you don't find it impressive that's fine, but trying to shame him for wanting to go out a champion is the sourest of sour grapes.

Re: Congrats on the championship David West
I am not at all sour. I am glad GS won because LeBron lost again in the finals. I also like DWest a lot. I am just trying to understand how a guy can be amp'ed in that situation. I guess he finally caught his ring, but I am not sure I would wear it. He was nearly in a casket when it was handed to him.Comment

Re: Congrats on the championship David West
He gave up on this team. Screw him.
He could have been a mentor to Myles Turner.
I would have been okay with him winning with the Spurs, but when he hopped from the Spurs to the warriors, that was just the final straw on me giving him any respect. You can't get champagne from a garden hose.Comment

Re: Congrats on the championship David West
Silver lining: maybe he hangs it up after this year and we won't have to see his 4 PPG tough guy act anymore.
Skip Bayless had an interesting tweet last night. He said "David West is always having to play tough guy". Now Skip obviously is a clown, but a lot of it is because he's paid to be a shock jock with topics like Lebron, the Cowboys, RG3, etc. No one cares what he thinks about West, so that was a genuine comment. Interesting to see that comment out of nowhere. The tough guy act is a bit silly when he's a 4 PPG guy. It was fine when he was relevant, but now it's just kind of obnoxious.Comment

Re: Congrats on the championship David West
I'm happy for him. He had a goal to try and win a ring. Regardless of how much he contributed, he was part of a championship team, and for the rest of the life he will be an NBA champion and will have one bad-*** ring. Not many people can say that.
West was a great player while he was here (except for that last year when he gave up) and he did a good job babysitting some immature players in PG, Roy, and Lance. Over the last four years or so of Pacers players there have been quite a few who I just don't like personality-wise. West was one of the ones I really did like. I'm glad he achieved his dream.Danger ZoneComment
