I am guessing that it will be a press conference about a whole lot of nothing.

I ain't gonna learn anything new outside of Bird saying that it's time for Nate to go ( but we all know that ain't happening ).

Any chance Nate called a press conference to announce his firing?
"We've got to be very clear about this. We don't want our players hanging around with murderers," said Larry Bird, Pacers president.

Unlikely, don't think coaches usually participate in firing press conferences.

Unless Nate drops some gems about a convo with PG, Monday is the press conference to look forward to. The press will be grilling Bird.

Bird needs to announce his own firing.

Surprised they both aren't just talking to get it over with. I'm sure it'll be about a whole lot of nothing.

This looks like a clue that Nate is staying.

I'm fine with Bird staying and trying to right his wrongs. The last team everyone around here was in love with (including myself) was constructed very well, and was a team that virtually nobody saw coming. I don't think we go back to that style under Bird, but the man just watched this bad roster combo and surely it tells him he has a lot of work to do.
I don't think he's leaving, so I don't feel the need to consistently complain about every tiny thing that happens and ignore all of the positives, or right them off in a way that isn't fair.

Why do you all hate Nate so bad? I see a coach that has a pretty sh*tty roster, but is expected to make the playoffs and do well.

We have some solid players in teague, lance, pg, thad, turner, gr3, cj miles. Outside of that? Nothing.

I very much appreciate that he experimented with starting lineups. I loved having GR3 on the starting lineup and CJ miles on the bench. Lance running the backup point was pretty good too.

He experimented a lot this year. Stuff Vogel would've never done.

For me, it is the under achieving of the team and some of the bad in game decisions he has made. This team should have won 45-50 games and made it to the second round of the playoffs.

Nate hesitating in calling timeouts, keeping players in too long and playing guys that shouldn't be playing all contributed to the lack of success.

Just look at Game 3 - blowing a 26 point lead at home is inexcusable.

Furthermore, A good coach would have pulled Monta's *** out of the game after he literally ran away from Lebron on that dunk.
A great coach would have Tinsley'd his *** after he literally ran away from Lebron on that dunk.
A HOF coach would have literally stuck a boot up Monta's *** after he literally ran away from Lebron on that dunk and THEN Tinsley'd him.
Nate McMillan left Monta in the game for at least FIVE MINUTES after he played defense that would make TROY FREAKIN MURPHY look like an NBA All-Defensive Team candidate.

I would add that Kevin Seraphin had some nice showings as well. In particular, when teamed with Lance.
