I really like the Crowder/Bradley/'17 Nets pick package. I'm not a huge fan of Jaylen Brown and I think all of this crap you hear about how much Boston "loves" him is noise to inflate his value.Comment

Re: Woj: Pacers assessing trade market for Paul George
I don't see the Pacers being much worse if at all without PG. and the future would be much brighter.
We cannot afford to pay anyone $200 million. Simon doesn't go over the cap, we'd suck. PG is not worth that money.Comment

Re: Woj: Pacers assessing trade market for Paul George
I don't really give a **** if PG wants to go home to LA or not. We trade him for the best possible package we can get. Let the team that trades for him worry about him bolting to LA. Unless we want to take 50 cents on the dollar, the Lakers can't put together a package good enough for PG without gutting their roster and then PG is going to want to leave because the Lakers suck.Comment

Re: Woj: Pacers assessing trade market for Paul George
Of course, if we are trading PG, it would make sense to trade Teague too.
I like Brown. He's definitely a mystery, but I think he will at the very least be a lock down defender.Comment

I've figured it out!
We trade Paul now. Get all this young cheap talent. Then we re-sign Paul in summer of '18! GENIUS!

He can go to LAL and see what it is to play on a "winning" team"So, which one of you guys is going to come in second?" - Larry Bird before the 3 point contest. He won.

Re: Woj: Pacers assessing trade market for Paul George
Jeff Teague / Aaron Brooks
Marcus Smart / Jaylen Brown
Jae Crowder / CJ Miles
Thad Young / Lavoy Allen
Myles Turner / Al Jefferson
That lineup is better than what we use now.
#1 overall pick, Lonzo Ball? Fultz? Smith? Let Teague walk, save $.
Our own #17 pick
Cap space $$$$Comment

Re: Woj: Pacers assessing trade market for Paul George
That's another thing--if you trade PG, you're kind of signaling a rebuild, no? Teague is a free agent after the season, do we scramble and try to trade him too?Comment

Re: Woj: Pacers assessing trade market for Paul George
I honestly wonder if you could get another asset by including Teague in a trade. Would Boston flip you another pick to have Teague come off the bench backing up Thomas for this playoff run?

Re: Woj: Pacers assessing trade market for Paul George
If we are trading PG, absolutely. Pick up another first from where ever we can get it.Comment

Re: Woj: Pacers assessing trade market for Paul George
But I could see Bird thinking they're still a good playoff team with Crowder replacing PG and not moving Teague.Comment

Re: Woj: Pacers assessing trade market for Paul George
For what? Not many teams out there looking for a 3-month rental at PG.
