Steph Curry Blasts His Own Sponsor Under Armour For Trump Support.

Forgive me if this is out of bounds as I couldn't find a link to specific Forum rules regarding politics, but this is general NBA news headlines right now. Thank goodness there are players that will stand for principle over money out there. Steph said Trump is an asset if you remove the "et". Get em Steph.

Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry responded to Under Armour CEO Kevin Plank's description of Donald Trump as an "asset" to the United States by taking a clever shot at the controversial president...

EDIT: I'm blind. The rules are right at the top of the board. Doh! Didn't see much about political posts there. This is kind of an NBA general story like I said so if it needs to be deleted so be it. Curry is my hero regardless.

Curry has the stones other players or former players don't.

In other news, at least three Patriots have said they will not be going to the White House now including Howie Long's son Chris. I can pretty much guarantee right now that when the Warriors win the title(and they will), they will not be making a White House appearance.

I only expect Brady, Belicheck, and Kraft to show up for the Patriots.

Regardless of who is president, I am sick of athletes and entertainers weighing in on politics as-if their opinion matters in some way.

There is no way this is going to stay open, but Steph is a citizen of the United States. He has every right to weigh in on politics in this country.

I can't see this thread lasting very long. Having said that, count m qq in for supporting Curry and Lebron for speaking out.
Why do teams tank? Ask a Spurs fan.

Are they American citizens? Of course their opinion matters. Not any more than ours, but just as much.

Sure he does. This thread should be closed for the same reason Curry should have kept his mouth closed. JMO.

I'm ok with this one cause he wasn't giving an interview, didn't say it on the court, or an award show.

Not a Steph fan, but good for him. Billionaires can impact political realm with their money, athletes and entertainers in general can do so with their voice.

The thread title is very misleading. Curry doesn't really "blast" the UA CEO, he merely mocked a word from his description of Trump and asked for a clarification. IMO neither was saying anything personal or offensive about the other in regards to their political leanings so what's the big deal? They apparently spoke about it and everything is cool. Nothing to see here.
