Post Game Thread: 4th quarter blues

    Great 1st and 3rd quarters.
    Bad 2nd and 4th quarters.
    Offense wasn't fun tonight.
    Sean Kilpatrick killed us.

This team reminds me of the Colts.

Kinda glad to get the first loss out of the way. It seemed like once Stuckey went down and the rotation adjusted everything fell apart.

        - Thad Young is better than I thought (He can shoot the open 3, that's huge) but he's looked pretty bad on defensive switches so far.

        - Monta looks a lot better in these 2 games than he did last season.

        - CJ had some quality play, it's hard for me to say that but it's true.

Step away from the cliff. It's a brand new team with a 20 year old C. We are not competing for a title this year...but we actually have a lot of talent and will win over half our games. The Pacers are back on their way up...enjoy the ride.

I'm glad Teague was not extended yet. Can't imagine PG being too cool with that move at the moment. See what happens when you don't shoot 50%?

Pacers bench is an issue. Didn't Nate basically kill Brandon Roy with all those minutes? We're 2 games in & Nate is hardly giving any minutes to the bench. Al Jefferson has played like 10 minutes each game. He's our only backup big man. The schedule is not as favorable as I thought it waa early on. Bulls is a loss, Lakers are going to be a problem...

I counted 2 Monta jump passes for turnovers tonight. That's 3 on the season. I'll keep track this year.

Aaron Brooks needs to get healthy because Joe young isn't very good. GR3 doesn't need to play anymore this season. Al Jefferson looks old and slow. Hate to say it, but our bench sucks yet again. At which point does the crappy bench thing become a curse? I stupidly blamed Vogel for having crappy benches over his tenure, but the bench this year is equally terrible. Bird needs to fix this mess

So Al Jefferson (the player Bird signed for 10 Million a year), and Aaron Brooks (another new addition by renown wizard Larry Bird) both suck. Further proof it was never Vogel's fault it was Birds fault.

PG, Thad, Myles is all we've got. Look at Chicago: Rondo, MCW, Grant, Canaan. Butler, Wade, Valentine, McDermott, Hunter. Gibson, Lopez, Mirotic, Portis, Felcio. That's depth & talent at every spot. We aren't even close to that. Tomorrow I might pay my mortgage off for November. Pacers on B2B @ Chicago where Indiana doesn't win. Larry should have signed Lance. Lord help my P.

This was a bad loss. Not much else to say. I'll let the players and the coaches figure out the rest.

Not sure Nate and I are gonna get along. I have a fundamental problem with the way we are helping on defense right now. I think we're over helping a bit and putting a little too much focus on the ball handler...

Myles should have gotten the ball more and overall our bench was just....not very good, again. Stuckey getting hurt is a major bummer, could have used his aggression tonight.

I was hoping we could go into that Chicago game a nice 2-0. Now it feels like it has a little pressure, but hey it is a long season.

One thing is for sure, Al can't go 1/5 with 3 turnovers in mostly 1 v1 scenarios and us expect to win games. He also needs to get in shape because right now he is fat.

Myles had what...7 shots in the first quarter? I don't know at least 5 shots. He ended with 11....Paul George needs to thwack Monta and Teague over the head the next time their usage rate in the 4th quarter of a close game is higher than his.
