Hard to believe but you need more than one great player to win a championship in the NBA rarely does it happen with just one and a good coach as well. People seem to forget Pau never even won in the playoffs until he joined the Lakers.

LeBron is great but he needed help to win it all. Which is why he left the Cavs to begin with and then returned when they got a better supporting cast.

I don't have an issue with people thinking LeBron is better in the end he well could be but they act as if what he's doing now hasn't already been done before. It has but for some reason they act like its brand new now.

I could see LeBron being more like Wilt when all is said and done a total physical force/game changer on the court not necessarily a lot of championships to go with it.
You are listing reasons that no one has said. I think LeBron has more of an impact on the court than Kobe does. Its not about who played with who or who won what. Its about seeing these two play basketball. Kobe's play making will always be underated, especially during the second championships. But its still not as good as LeBron's. On both ends of the court I just find LeBron to be more dominating than Kobe.

So people who disagree and explain why aren't sane apparently.

Never heard of a difference of opinion?

I don't ever remember the "Kobe needed Pau" narrative. The Shaq one, yeah, I remember that was a thing absolutely, but you just pulled that Pau **** out of your ***

Look, I'm a huge Kobe fan. I love Kobe. I enjoy watching Kobe more as a player than I do Bron. He's one of the 10 best players ever. I love that borderline psychotic dedication to winning that guys like Kobe and Jordan have. Bron doesn't seem to be on that level, but he's just better.

It's not that any particular year is better. It's that he is currently in a position to lead what normally would be a rag tag group of players to a title. That may well not be the case going forward. Say he teams up with Durant and another perennial all star. He may well win more titles but that would not be as significant an individual accomplishment.

If Bron drags this Cavs team to a title I will be wildly impressed. That's more telling about how good I think the Dubs are than anything to do with the Cavs though. This Cavs team is much better than the previous Cleveland teams Bron dragged to the Finals--even without Love.

I mean when you have the best player in the world, I'm never gonna be surprised if he wins the title. I wouldn't hold it against GS because of LeBron. I think GS are the better team but not in a land slide

I think Golden State wins in 5, maybe 6. Bron is the best player in the world, but his superior Heat team got ransacked in the Finals last year.

By the way, whenever the Warriors want to ditch the absurd "Golden State" moniker I'm all for it. Aren't they building a new arena in San Francisco? Just be the San Francisco Warriors. There's what, 4 teams in the Golden State? Ditch it Dubs.

I have GS winning in 6.

As for them changing the name, I doubt it ever happens. Yeah, the arena moves them, but people would flip out if they were to be the SF Warriors. The whole SF vs Oakland thing... There were a lot of Warriors fans that were pissed that the Curry's went to the SF Giants game and not the Oakland A's game. Plus a lot of the diehard Warriors fans are more Oakland/east Bay people vs SF people. And yes they get angry about it

they're moving from Oakland to San Fran when the new building (that looks INCREDIBLE) is done. the mayors of the two cities talked about the parade if it happens and it's gonna be in Oakland. as it should be. but whooo, that's gonna be some people watching.

I'm also not a fan of that move at all. I know it technically isn't far at all, but the cultures are really different and the Oakland Dubs fans are the greatest. I don't know if that'll still happen in SF.

I thought I read there were talks about them changing it to SF Warriors when they moved into that new arena (which you're right--it looks amazing).

Everything but how he's performed in the NBA Finals. Lebron is certainly a better talent than Kobe because of what his physical skills allow him to do, but Kobe has still had the better career because he has been better in the Finals. 5>2.

Yes, I know that Kobe has been in the league 7 years longer than Lebron, but the last 5 seasons haven't really mattered for Kobe aside from jacking up his career points total.

People say Kobe has more rings then Lebron. But Lebron has as many finals MVP as him. That shows he was the man of his team. Wade has 1 more ring than Lebron. Do people say Wade is better than Lebron?

Cause Kobe's other 3 rings we all know who the man was. Shaq was a beast. Just go look at his numbers in those finals. Pretty amazing.
