The only surprise was that it didn't happen sooner. The guy got embarrassed in the 2012 Finals and it's been downhill ever since.

It wasn't about being the team everyone loved, it was about beating the teams everyone else loved.

Scott Brooks and Frank Vogel are alike in a lot of ways.
There is no NBA player named Monte Ellis.

The name I've heard if they want to try and please Durant and Westbrook is Kevin Ollie...Billy Donovan would be really interesting because I'd feel then that they're going in a completely different direction of the future possibly without Durant or Westbrook.

Frank has never been truly embarrassed, except maybe when he left Roy out of game 1 of 2013 ECF.

I was thinking more along the lines of their coaching paths. He took over in 2008 and led a team from mediocrity to a contender. Having two top 5 players also helps though. Frank's never had a player the quality of RW or KD.

What about Frank as the replacement?

I hope Orlando doesn't hire Scott Brooks, I like their nucleus and I don't believe Brooks is anything more than a Durant/Westbrook puppet who had a weird infatuation with Kendrick Perkins for way too long.

We surely got stomped in the elimination game 2 seasons ago. That was humiliating, and the guys didn't look like they came out to play (same with last season's ECF game 6). I'm surprised they fired Brooks and I think it will be considered a bad move in time.

I also am of the belief that Durant and Westbrook aren't going to win a championship together. Both awesome, MVP type talents, but there isn't enough basketball to share for each of them to maximize their potential. If I'm OKC I trade one for the biggest bounty in recent NBA history. It's not like they'll miss the playoffs again.

What did Brooks do that was so awful?
Being unable to close out a game in which you have a comfortable lead in the 4th Q = Pulling a Frank Vogel

I think Scott Brooks is an excellent coach.

Arguably the worst offensive design in the league, at least late in games. (Pacers are up there too)

Two words for me... Kendrick Perkins...dude was the Michael Curry of centers (sure Kstat would know the meaning of that more than rest of us).
