I hope the team doesn't feel like me, because I'm just ready for the season to end. I'm just pessimistic there's a run in them at this point and it's just a march to the inevitable: First round exit in the BTT (maybe in heart-breaking fashion giving up a backdoor or wasting a last possession), no NCAAT, then the NIT and a game or two including a loss to some .500 team to end the season.
I hope I'm wrong...

Whether there was some acting on his part to sell a non-existent foul, or minor contact, or not, is a bigger question I guess.
LMK what you see. I think TV spent more time looking at the ball going out of bounds since it was in question if the game was over or if Purdue would have to inbound the ball with a couple of ticks on the clock.
But he definitely was shooting with the idea there'd be a foul called. It wasn't 'just' a poor shot alone.Leave a comment:

Well, I do disagree with Hummel and his partner, that definitely looked like X was fouled on that last play. I do agree with them when they say they aren't going to call it (normally)... but then they said it wasn't a foul. Although, replays were limited and I reserve the right to watch another replay and change my mind, that looked like an obvious foul to me. In fact, it looked like a player thinking PU had a foul to give and fouling him before he got in position for the 3. X jacked up the shot expecting the foul and wanting it to be a 3 shot foul call. So I do understand what was taking place there.
I suppose the next debate is about whether I saw what I thought I saw, and whether the ref should've called it? Should the defense be allowed to get away with extra contact 10' behind the 3pt line just because it's the last play of the game, and the team with the ball is the road team? Is this just another example of the B10 using a different set of rules than B10 teams will face in the NCAAT?
But, beyond that, who's surprised IU found a way to lose? The surprise being they were even in a position to win or tie.Leave a comment:

Good push to finish the half. Not for lack of effort, but it's just so hard for this team offensively. TJD's (and/or the program's) lack of development of any offense outside 7 feet for him is criminal.Leave a comment:

Guys literally afraid to shoot open looks. Last possession Race and Copp both passed up wide open 3s. Kopp finally hits a wide open one off a nice pass in transition. But too many guys in half court just don't look ready to catch and shoot.Leave a comment:

Now I know why I stopped watching a while ago. This team's just not good. I get that you can't hold Woodson accountable at this point. Not his guys and all. But I see the same old tired approach and players looking exactly the same as when the year started. Don't even see much development out of the young guys. Can't win without shooting.Leave a comment:

IU needs this win like no other. Could lock them into or out of the NCAA.
Good luck to them.Leave a comment:

I think Sollozzo nailed it with this comment:
"There is just something fundamentally wrong with the culture of the program. It seems like there is just something ingrained into players year after year where they just donโt know to win"Leave a comment:
