      You have a position. I'm asking you to defend that position with actual data. If you consider that trolling, then all I can say is you've spent way too much time in echo chambers.

      This is just nuts.

      We have a media that's spent years interpreting every scenario in the least-charitable way to make Trump look as bad as possible.

      We have a media that's made up an uncountable number of fake stories to make Trump look as bad as possible.

      We have a media that spent more than two years obsessing over Trump conspiring with Russia, only to seamlessly move on to the next conspiracy (Ukraine) once it was exposed as a lie.

      We have a media that's not a media at all; it's a propaganda division of the democratic party. Fox News is one of the few outlets that refuses to go along with the propaganda, and so they're treated like an enemy. It's pathetic, and the public is becoming more and more aware of it, which is why trust in the media has hit rock bottom.

      Is this an admission that Europe is currently in worse shape than the U.S.? If it is, good for you.

      Of course the virus will continue to grow in the U.S. Of course things will get worse. But guess what? It will continue to grow and get worse in Europe, too. This is a null point.

      I am a right wing partisan; I'm not going to deny the obvious. That said, I try to keep my partisanship at least in the realm of factual and fair -- certainly more than most on the left, including the media.

      As for the virus . . . I've said I believe the true infected fatality rate will end up 0.5% to 0.7% -- 5x to 7x the normal flu. With a similar number of infected, that's 300,000-400,000 deaths over the next year. That's bad, yes, but it's not millions of deaths, as many scare mongers have projected. I'm also not convinced locking down the economy for months on end wont do more long-term damage and cost more lives.

        The origin of the flu of 1918 is not known but most believe it came from pigs to humans and that could of been any country. Many believe the war and particularly American soldiers spread the virus like wildfire. The US first known cases were in a military base and we did not prevent the spread early on.

                80 rather young patients (median age 52 years) were treated in Marseille for 6 to 10 days, between March 3 and March 21, 2020;

                all patients were treated with hydroxychloroquine (3 x 200 mg daily) + the antibiotic azithromycin;

                58% had comorbidity (hypertension, diabetes, chronic respiratory disease, etc.) identified as a risk factor for Covid-19;

                no significant treatment-related adverse events were noted (a single interruption).

                At the end of the study:

                65 of the 80 patients (81%) developed favorably and were discharged from hospital very quickly, on average after 4.6 days;

                13 of 80 patients (16%) were still in intensive care at 10 days or more;

                1 patient (86 years old) died in infectious disease without going through intensive care;

                93% of patients had an undetectable viral load after 8 days.

                The decrease in viral load results from several indistinguishable factors, including natural healing of patients, the inherent effect of chloroquine and azithromycin, or a combination of the two.

                      No one country has ever been determined to be responsible for the Spanish flu.

                        This is GAME CHANGER. Abbott to market, starting next week, a fast point-of-care #coronavirus test, delivering positive results in 5min and negative results in 13min. Will deliver 50K tests/day to start. Kudos to Abbott and FDA’s Jeff Shuren and team at CDRH who are in the fight.

                            I heard about this last night. It is great news. Maybe a month late but that's because the CDC failed miserably.
