Re: Official NBA 2k15 Hyped Thread
So your saying if you don't want a flagrant foul and ejections to affect your team, don't put Larry Sanders on your roster?"Nobody wants to play against Tyler Hansbrough NO BODY!" ~ Frank Vogel

Re: Official NBA 2k15 Hyped Thread
I assume it means tired or cold players with the right tendencies will probably clobber someone instead of committing a normal foul. Sanders, cousins, Barnes, Sullinger would all likely be among the most risky players.

Hey, if anyone is wanting to buy the PC version at launch, go through GreenManGaming. They sell the Steam keys, but they also have a 20% off code that can be applied to 2k15: VBHGBM-JS2VN9-0J5OFM

Re: Official NBA 2k15 Hyped Thread
I wasn't planning on buying the PC version, but if you could use your expertise to create a mod that fixed the lighting in the Fieldhouse, I would buy it. I think my only major gripe with the game will be that playing in every arena feels the same because there all dark. I would rather have good gameplay performance, but I'm not sure why we can't have both this gen."Nobody wants to play against Tyler Hansbrough NO BODY!" ~ Frank Vogel

Re: Official NBA 2k15 Hyped Thread
My very early impressions:
Gameplay is roughly the same. The major tweaks are almost entirely presentation and ratings/sliders.
The major changes I notice right away:
-in freestyle practice mode you have two teammates to rebound for you. No more chasing down your own shots, so you can get in more practice AND work on your shooting off the catch. VERY appreciated, and long overdue.
-the take charge option is almost totally ineffective, as is the steal button. Passes are easy to pick off, but not dribbling. You miss and you're basically standing in cement shoes for a second. You can't reach in this game. Ever. The take charge option only seems to work around the charge circle. Try to quick-charge in the open floor and you just fall down.
-Finally, FINALLY 3-point cheese is gone. This game differentiates between catch-and-shoot players and 1-on-1 players at every range, close medium and 3. Andre Igoudala is still an 84 from 3 (his rating last season), but when he's in motion his rating drops to a 76. Steph Curry drops from a near-automatic 93 to an 85. Durant drops from 92 to 83. The biggest difference I can find is Boris Diaw (89 spotting up vs 72 in motion) On the flipside, Paul Pierce's rating goes up from an 83 to an 89 if he's shooting off the dribble vs. spotting up. Every one of Allen Iverson's shot ratings goes up when he shoots off the dribble.Last edited by Kstat; 10-07-2014, 05:06 PM.

Re: Official NBA 2k15 Hyped Thread
Yeah it feels a lot like last year only more polished. They said they added 6,000 new animations but I'm not seeing that. The Pacers flo-Jo's are in the game which is pretty cool. I really like the freelance offense, especially because I have trouble executing plays. There are player intros which are neat at first, but will probably get old fast, and it also looks like half the crowd is holding giant strobe lights. The Shaq and Ernie is okay but kinda cheesy. I really haven't had time to really dive into it yet, but it feels solid.Comment

NBA2k15 is so realistic, when the Pacers and the Bulls meet in the Playoffs in Indianapolis, you can see splots of Red in the stands.

Re: Official NBA 2k15 Hyped Thread
I'm thinking about trying it. I saw some comparison shots on operation sports and the PC version looks really good. I have no problem with the xb1 graphics though. The only game I have ever played on my PC is Microsoft Flight Simulator. The main reason I would try it for PC is to see what the modders can do. I have a 23" inch monitor which is nice, but I'm used to playing on a 70" tv so that's my major sticking point. Computer gaming is pretty foreign to me, but if the gap continues to widen between PC & console, then I may move in that direction.Comment

I'll be connecting my desktop to my TV. I've turned one of the spare bedrooms into my media room where I can play games and not annoy the wife. Hoping to be able to finish off the basement next year and then I can have a media room in the basement.
What's everyone's thoughts on 2K15? Is it annoying you can't play much to start in My Career. The only thing I worry about is that that puts you at a serious disadvantage to get rookie of the year. I'm guessing No All Star appearances in year 1 too, not even the rookie game.
I hope next year they give you the option of going undrafted or going the route of getting drafted. Not a 1 time game and then draft either. I remember 2K11 had several games before the rookie showcase, where you could increase your draft stock. I want that...a legitimate chance of going #1. That's what I want next year. Going undrafted is a cool thing, it's much harder to get started, and I'm ok with that. But man, it'll feel real good going #1!First time in a long time, I've been happy with the team that was constructed, and now they struggle. I blame the coach.Comment
