Praying to the football gods that Richardson stays healthy. He will do special things if he does

Me too... But if he has a season of injuries like last year, I'm definitely going to be ready to move on. He HAS to finish games. And seasons. I'm willing to believe last year was bad luck and a rookie QB just too hyped to protect himself properly.

But some of the things didn't 'seem' all that much... yet were.... all that much.
Nuntius was right for a while. I was wrong for a while. But ultimately I was right and Frank Vogel has been let go.

I really hope it's just bad luck. Got a concussion on week 2 from slowing down on the touchdown and his shoulder injury was on a routine tackle

I’m quite concerned about him. Even in the games he played he was frequently getting dinged up.

Our ceiling is tied to his health first, and then to his ability to play long enough to learn from his mistakes.

I think the Colts found a gem with Adonai Mitchell.

Latu also looks like a beast.

            The season begins...
AR staying healthy is probably the biggest thing on the radar right now. He couldn't do it last year. Hopefully last year was an outlier...
Of course, since last year was so abbreviated, we're not really sure where he is as a game-ready QB either. It's basically a rookie season all over again.
Nuntius was right for a while. I was wrong for a while. But ultimately I was right and Frank Vogel has been let go.

4th and 1, so let’s line up in shotgun and add several yards to the play……

Taylor must not be fast any more. Only reason every run would be between the tackles. You'd run a 4.3 guy outside to get around the edge.

Richardson does not buy time like Stroud does and
                    has none of the touch

                      Seriously bad run defense.

Welp... Colts lose home opener. Check. Normal.
Anthony Richardson was in the game at the end. Improvement.
Colts gambled needlessly on 4th down. Check. Normal.
Colts gave up lots of yards on the ground but balanced that with giving up big passing plays too. Below normal, even for Colts.

                        And the season rolls on...

Run game was weak and run defense sucked. Clear diucernce in game. Our D has to be better, but we’re right there with division faves.

The division is pretty mediocre that the Colts will still probably be in it for the rest of the season.

If the only team you watched on offense was the Colts, you might be led to believe that the NFL instituted a rule making it illegal for the quarterback to line up directly behind the center and hand it off to the running back.

Seriously, why the hell do we always run it out of shotgun which effectively adds several extra yards to the play? It started on that 4th and 1 in the first quarter and continued throughout the game. This was a problem in previous seasons too.

We have a running back who we are paying a ton of money to. We have a hyped O-Line. Why the hell do we not put the QB directly behind the center so that he can immediately hand it off to the RB so that he can quickly plow through? Crazy

And why did we not even remotely try to establish a basic running game with Taylor, who shredded this exact same Texans team in the final game of the season? Sometimes these NFL coaches completely overthink the simple….
