The Colts have a lead. Can we just stop the game now and call it a win?

Brissett still likes the check down throw... to a fault. Wentz still needs to think 2-3 times about the check down throw before taking it (or getting chased/sacked while he thinks about it too long).
Nuntius was right for a while. I was wrong for a while. But ultimately I was right and Frank Vogel has been let go.

Brissett seems like a good teammate, but he’s the quintessential “play not to lose” type of quarterback. I couldn’t have watched him for another season.

When the announcers started talking about how they Colts hadn't had a lead all season, I wanted to throw something... It just brought up the memory of Reich stupidly going for it instead of taking the points... AND THE LEAD when the opportunity was there earlier in the season.
I can understand going for it if it's the 4th qtr, you're down by 3 scores... what do you have to lose? Or if you have a team that is so freaking powerful you know you'll be getting stops and plenty of other opportunities and it's a chance just to demoralize the other team. And if it doesn't work... so what?

But when it's early in the game.... You're not a juggernaut. 0-0... Take the points. Take the lead. Take the momentum. Don't risk the deflation and wasted opportunity. 3-0 is better than 0-0. In fact 3-7 is better than 0-7. You're a play away from the lead.

          .02...

I agree which is why I picked them to win today. They were facing Jacoby so I knew they could gameplan against him. If Tua was playing I would've picked the Dolphins but Jacoby isn't someone that produces fear.

I thought this was the best game Wentz has played so far. Hopefully they can build on this and we're the only team to win in the division this weekend so we are not out of it. The Ravens will be hard but you never know I mean the Jets beat the Titans... I don't get why they waited a month later to run the ball more often but I digress.

Wentz really hasn’t looked that bad. Now whether the trade was worth it or not is obviously a totally different question.

The line has had trouble and our receiving talent is pretty weak overall. So it’s been an uphill battle for Wentz. But credit to the Colts for beating a team they absolutely had to beat.

When it comes to the division, obviously Houston and Jacksonville are complete jokes and deserve no discussion.

So that leaves Tennessee. They have had a successful couple of seasons and are well coached, but they had a terrible loss to the Jets yesterday. Of course they were missing Jones and Brown. They will probably beat Jacksonville this week, but they have Buffalo and KC back to back after that which is brutal. Plus they’ve had to play the NFC West just like us, and still have the Rams and Niners left. They have plenty of tough games remaining

I would still bet on Tennessee winning the division, but it might not be a total guarantee.

I think it will come down to us and the Titans in the end.

I do think we had a brutal start the Seahawks and Rams to start the season.

I don't know if Wentz is worth the trade too soon to tell but I think he and Frank fit well together so I wasn't as bummed about it as others were. His health is really the ? but that's been the case with Colts QBs for the past decade so..

Might as well put it here.

I always thought Urban Meyer was a snake, d-bag, arrogant - choose your word. But this .............

Video purportedly showing Urban Meyer out at bar goes viral - YouTube

Urban Meyer bar video seems to show coach groping woman's butt (jacksonville.com)

Rumors floating around that he might get canned ??

Conspiracy Theory: Urban set this up so he can have an out to go to USC.

He can't use the health excuses anymore..

This is a blow yesterday and the next two games are national primetime games. Doubt the NFL likes this very much.

Russell Wilson out several weeks after surgery on injured finger

Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson underwent surgery on his injured finger Friday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports. The procedure, which was performed by noted hand specialist Dr. Steven Shin, stabilized Wilson’s finger with screws.

It will keep Wilson out for several weeks.

Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reports the Sehaawks are bracing for Wilson to miss at least a month and possibly up to eight weeks. Wilson ruptured a tendon in his right middle finger in Thursday night’s loss to the Rams.

He injured the finger on his follow through on a long incompletion to Tyler Lockett in the third quarter. Wilson’s finger connected with the hand of Rams defensive lineman Aaron Donald.

Wilson returned for one series before Geno Smith replaced him.

Wilson has made 149 consecutive starts, which is the longest by an active quarterback and the second-longest streak to start a career behind only Peyton Manning (208) among quarterbacks since the 1970 merger.

Wilson entered Week 5 leading the league in passer rating at 129.9.

I think the Dolphins are worse on the QB injury front than us tbh. Although I've never heard of anyone being carted off the field for a hamstring injury

                              This Packers-Bengals game is nuts.

3 straight missed field goals down the stretch - 2 of them by Mason Crosby

Now 5 straight missed FG’s. This is absolutely nuts.
