Also, just as a general thing, I really wish the Indy media as a whole would stop treating the Colts with such kid gloves. The questions that Reich gets every week are so damn pointless.

lol we still have to play the Ravens, Niners, Bills, Buccanneers, Cardinals, and Raiders.

This years schedule would have been a beast even if the team was actually good. If we lose against Miami, I’m thinking it’s a 3 or 4 win season.

I suspect an implosion is possible and 3 or 4 wins is suddenly on the high side... if things don't turn around quickly.

You KNOW Reich wanted Wentz and went to bat for him. The Irsay quote shows something less than a full buy in.
The team did fine with Rivers last season so that will be in everyone's mind.

There's a recipe brewing for a loss of confidence and Reich to easily lose the team.

Plays that have no chance. Going for it when we could've just taken the points. Going for it and not getting it. Worse, getting stuffed on the attempt. Play calling in general. O line...D line...

The 'coach' (pardon the pun) might be soon to turn back into a pumpkin.
Nuntius was right for a while. I was wrong for a while. But ultimately I was right and Frank Vogel has been let go.

The Colts wouldn't have gotten the same results. I agree he's been impressive but the Rams were a good team before he got there as well he just has a higher ceiling in his position than Jared Goff does.

As Sollozzo said wait till the postseason with Stafford.

I guarantee that Jimmy Irsay is already thinking about how he can get Arch Manning. He's a HS junior this year, so 3, 4 more years ?? Jimmy is already figuring out how to do it.
You really think that his family will let that happen it didn't end well for Uncle Peyton here and he has Uncle Eli to get himself out of such a situation if needed.. he's seen how the Colts QB situation is after his Uncle left like they would let his career go up in flames with Irsay around. Unless there's another Bill Polian type GM around I don't see it. I mean I do think he has what it takes to carry the family name but it won't be here.

which makes it all the more bizarre that we extended him and Ballard through 2026. What on earth did they do to deserve such a long term vote of confidence?

True. I’ve always liked Stafford and for some reason I always wanted the Lions to do well. I don’t know if it’s the Thanksgiving nostalgia or what. It’s just jaw dropping that a franchise with such a tortured history actually canned Jim Caldwell after he made the playoffs two times in four seasons. I don’t blame everything on Stafford, but I do think he bears some responsibility given how long he was the QB there. There are certainly no excuses now that he’s in a good situation with LA.

The NFC is stacked right now. I think things are looking good for Dallas to be a legit contender if they stay healthy. Would love to see them go on a deep run.

I mean I just think it's crazy they only made the playoffs 3 times with Stafford tbh. That seems inexcusable. It's hard to really say how good he is or isn't in the playoffs. Look how long it took Peyton to get comfortable in that spot.

Apparently the Colts and Marlon Mack have agreed to seeking a trading partner and parting ways. Marlon was a healthy scratch at TN so this news explains that a bit more.

Sucks and I think a bad decision. I think we should be using Hines in the slot more and could still find touches for all three of them.

I guess it depends on what we can get for him... But coming off that injury, and with only 12 snaps this season, there's not a whole lot of tape to be showing potential trading partners. So... probably means... we get "not much".

Manning at least had more playoff appearances than Stafford ever did before we won that SB. I don't fault Stafford entirely either but he never got nearly the grief or criticism because he played for the Lions a terrible franchise he should've left years ago tbh. The Lions didn't have a GM of Polian's caliber either or an owner that actually wants to win which despite Irsay's flaws I believe he actually wants that compared to some other franchises.

I also don't see the point in trading Marlon Mack unless we get a useful defensive player or O-lineman out of it.

Just look at Stafford from basically 2015 on, guy who is completing 65% of his passes with a 2+/1 TD/INT ratio and is averaging nearly 8 yards an attempt. He was also the most sacked QB In the league during that time I believe. They only made the playoffs once during that stretch. That's just sad.

The Lions are honestly the worst franchise in the NFL now by a long shot now that the Browns have pulled their heads out of their asses.

Wentz has NO anticipation of where his receivers are supposed to be. Put in the third string guy. Not Hundley or Eason.
