For the package I mentioned in my post? Hell no.

I believe Bird has already explained he wants to keep roster spots open for future trades. While two low paying roster spots may not sound like much it would be a shame to tie up any kind of guaranteed salary if a substantial trade/deal were to open.

He hasn't missed some shots he is missing a lot of shots, yes I like that he is improving the all around feel and he is a veteran or whatever, but the fact is that he is gettin pay 10mil to do a job, not to be a babysitter, I like that people ignore that I also mentioned other guys that are sucking but leave them out because the new "golden boy" was named, I mentioned Tyler(my favorite player on the team) and Danny but lets get up in arms because Dwest was named.

And P.S... Isnt there any kind of way we can get Coach Vogel to read some of Seths posts?? Great stuff man...

The thread is asking about what are my biggest concerns, I posted what are my biggest concerns, I didn't agree with other people concerns but I'm not getting upsept because my favorite player was mentioned.

Why do I think Danny, Tyler, West and even George Hill are sucking? because neither one of those guys are playing at their highest level, yes we are getting 15 PPG from Danny but what about his defense, how many shots is he taking? how many turnovers? all that is taken into consideration for me to say that somebody is not playing well, Tyler is the same, he is giving us hustle and 12ppg but his shooting percentage is bad and his defense has been suspect.

David West is the same thing, yeah we are getting 11PPG and 7 RPG with a shooting % of .400, but his defense has been as bad as Tyler(again my favorite player) both of them made Jerebko look like the next coming of MJ, yeah he is hurt and is still recovering but he is still playing right? we signed the guy to be the Robin next to Batman in Danny and so far he looks like Albert, good guy to have in your team but not huge difference maker, is just the way it is.

I think everybody here knows that I was happy when we got George Hill, I could even say that he is my second favorite player next to Tyler, I wanted the guy since he got into the NBA, I was always a fan of his game, at this moment I also think that he is sucking, he has some good moments but at times he looks like he is out of place, his defense is good in a minute and then he lets his guy pass by him, his offense is also suspect. I am going to leave by saying that I really hope all this guy I mentioned start playing to their levels, because I'm really tired of sucking and I hope they get their together, peace

Well, we'd still have Lou, and Foster and Pendegraph are both going to be ready to play soon, apparently. I need to see more, but I wouldn't be shocked if Pendergraph could hold down the PF spot for 15-20 min if needed. Or Lou if Jeff Foster can play at 5.

As I watch games not involving the Pacers, I see teams that often look horrible (teams that are supposed to be a lot better than the Pacers). I think the first two weeks of this regular season should be thrown out, but teams are all over the place.

So I am not going to respond to this type of topic for another at least two weeks. By the time we get to the forum party, we might be in a better position to draw some conclusions
when miami has d-wade and lebron both out and go into atlanta and beat them after losing a few nights ealier is no excise for us.. we either play or lose.. these are pro athletes not grade school kids.... either put up or shut up... We are simply not there yet its very clear to see.... Here we have room for 15 plyers and we only have 13 on this roster.. why cant indiana go out and sign two more players..

Personally, I'm really starting to starve for it, and I guess I'm getting tired of waiting for it.
Hicks, I have to respectfully disagree to a point...

Some of my best Pacer memories stem from the '90-'91 Chuck vs. Larry fests, parts of the '93 and certainly the '94 playoff run. In none of those circumstances were we playing at a steady 'EC finals' level... just teams that got hot in spots, and fought hard resulting in memorable moments. I'm happy to play the underdog as long as the team is worthy of cheering.

By December last year, the impossible happened... I actually became apathetic about the team... didn't bother to tune into a game... I've been mad at the team before, frustrated... sure. Never, though, have I been 'meh' about watching a game, which is why I am dying for Peck to unleash the post he's been hesitant to do so, and I don't care if it's unfair. Coach Satan made me not want to watch Pacers basketball... call me a quiet PFFL. It is also why Frank taking over, and the team actually showing guts during the playoffs was such a revelation.

Within that context, I am thrilled that we are discussing these problems right now, though I am loving the new 'angry Hicks.'

Back on point, I am officially concerned about Danny (I've been concerned about his general demeanor since getting benched by Coach K), Tyler's chucking (note I love both players) and most importantly, by the extended absence of Stanko Lover.

Not to mention we tried a defense that they probably only practiced for about an hour the day before.

Every team in the league is gonna have games like that this year. we got ours out of the way early.
4-2 is a good start but we've only played one +.500 team.

Remember the Pacers always close out the season strong and start playing their best ball in April.

As I said, even Miami Heat fans can have concerns, same with Thinder fans as no team is perfect

I realize that and I shouldn't have used the word panic in post. But I really don't know concerns I have yet. I see a team that is slightly better than a .500 which is what most of us have predicted. But I want to give it more time, and I think right now is a bad time to do this because the horrible performance in Miami skews everything.
