If you had the option of losing Dunleavy and Murphy along with their contract, would you? Basically, if we could get rid of both their contracts and hit the FA in the summer, would you be willing to do that?

And then we could all go live here:
Seriously. What is the point of asking this question? And I won't be here to see the day
It all dries up and blows away
I'd hang around just to see
But they never had much use for me

MillerTime, I don't understand why you are always so obsessed with trying
to change the team's roster all the time. It's not likely any more big changes
are likely to happen soon.
If there were 15 players you wanted to see on the team, you would still be
trying to find other players to bring in just for the sake of changing things.
While there are improvements to be made, and TPTB will address those
issues when the time is right, I happen to like where the roster stands for
right now. These guys want to be here, they want to play hard, and have
earned their roster spots. They could end up being pretty good when it is
all said and done, but is going to take some time to get there being a new
group.
Please give this group a chance to develop.Comment

Re: If You Guys Could Wipe a Player's Salary...
If Putnam transported me to magic fairy land I still wouldn't do this.
I am happy with the roster we have right now. We have all of the right ingredients for the long term regardless of our record this year. Quick point guard who is a selfless distributor but can score too? Check. Future defensive stopper? Check. A guy who will probably make the All-Star team this year and STILL could improve? Check. A guy who could become one of the better post presences in the league? Check. A good future sixth man (Dun)? Check.
When the time comes and it is apparent this team can compete, we will get the right 7th, 8th, and 9th man type guys. The Mullies and the Perkineses will want to play for this team. That's all we need for future success, and a better PF but that doesn't have to be addressed right now.
Give it time, I think you'll be happy.Comment

Such a classic parody. I can't not think of it when I hear Kidd's name now.
BTW, if you could trade Troy Murphy for Dale Davis of 1998 and Mike for Reggie circa 1992, would you? I don't know, kind of a tough question.
