    A heartfelt thank you!

Happy Thanksgiving everybody - I just wanted to drop a note of gratitude to all of you, you mean more to me than you can imagine.

I’ve been a forum member here for about 15 years now, when I was still in college, bright eyed, bushy tailed. Everyone goes through their ups and downs but this year in particular has been a challenging one. I lost my father, far too early, this summer and really struggled with that. Just yesterday, we welcomed our first child into the world. The lows are low, but the highs are high.

Engagement seems a little lower than it has been in the past, but I’m so glad we have this group where collectively, we want the Pacers to succeed. We may have different ideas on how to do so, but the goal is the same. Regardless, it has been such a wonderful escape where even for a brief moment, I don’t have to worry about the real ish life sometimes throws our way, and to just engage in something we are all passionate about.

Though I once found them annoying, I’ve come to appreciate the posts about firing everyone and their moms, the grumbling about Myles, and some of the ludicrous trade ideas that come through. Beyond that, I love the civil discourse and interesting thoughts that members post.

For that, I thank you - you’ve helped me get through the darker parts of this year more than you know.

Anyways, enough of this gooey sh…ow of emotions, go Pacers!
Peck is basically omniscient when it comes to understanding how the minds of Herb Simon and Kevin Pritchard work. I was a fool to ever question him and now feel deep shame for not understanding that this team believes in continuity above talent.

Happy thanksgiving bro and everyone else on here. I agree about how this forum helps you get your mind off of reality and tough times. Last year I was on chemo for cancer , and when I was sitting there getting my chemo pumped into me I would often read peoples posts on this forum. It really helped me get my mind off of what was going on, and to those on here that knew what I was going through, you guys were totally supportive and kind. It really meant a lot to me.

On a funny note, this forum has also saved me a few bucks on buying new remote controls for my tv lol. Before PD I had no outlet to vent my anger when the pacers would lose due to some boneheaded play or bad call from the refs and I would stupidly chuck remotes across the room or literally snap them in half lol( I know it’s sad lol) but now due to this forum I can read everyone’s posts and it often makes me realize that I’m not the only guy hating the world whenever Myles Turner finishes the game with 8points, and 2 rebounds lol.

What I am trying to say is that you guys are family and I’m super thankful that we all can gather and talk about something that isn’t as scary and complicated as regular real life can be and for that I’m super thankful.
    Happy thanksgiving everyone!
