Shooting was obviously nice but it’s great to see Jarace begin to piece together the parts of the job being asked of him. Forcing turnovers, grabbing the odd big board, blocking a shot - these things are all becoming increasingly reliable.

Only TJ could breakdown that zone. Black and Isaac out front
      really stifled Hali and Nembhard
This team needs Jackson and Wiseman badly

is this the pacers future starting 5:
        hali
        math
        jarace
        pascal
        turner

got length, shooting and scoring at all 5 position.
I'd like to try it now. It's still not a really big lineup but it makes up for the size disadvantage we have with Nembhard and Nesmith in the starting lineup.

I'm just so thrilled to see the progress with Mathurin and Walker. Those were the two wildcards, the players the Pacers need to be good if they want to hit a higher ceiling. Obviously they are still young players and will have long rough stretches. But both of them (particularly Mathurin) are showing what you need to see to know that they will keep growing and keep getting better.

That is a huge line up. Besides Mathurin, everyone is quite big or at par for their position

It's a lineup with good size. A 6'7" sf and 6'8" pf are not really huge for those positions but compared to our usual starting lineup it is.

I’ve been impressed with Mathurin’s patience this season. He isn’t forcing it as much as he used to. And he’s also making quicker decisions as soon as he receives the ball. His defense is still a major issue, but his one-on-one effort is better.

Walker just needs playing time. He and Siakim are the only players on the team who can guard big wings/power forwards, and that’s our second biggest Achilles.

I don't think the tendency of the Pacers to go 4+ minutes without a basket has anything to do with the opponent's defense. It happens pretty much every game and has done so for years, most of last year being a shocking exception. Our jump shots just stop dropping and we try to fix it by continuing to take jump shots.

Or throw in a first-round pick and flip it for a max-level point guard...

I think the Pacers are starting to get their rhythm. Next 20 games should tell us where we stand.

My bad. Sheppard was late 1st.

Maybe Johnny Furphy will be another 2nd round steal. He looks like he's 13.
