Much better after learning those details. It was a bad deal before imo. Now I dig it.

A team option and a partial guarantee changes the value of the contract significantly and cuts out a fair amount of the potential downside!

Since this forum is all kinda bugged right now, I can't even successfully edit or delete the post above, so I'll just duplicate post with the tweet properly embedded this time:

I'm shocked by this. Fantastic news! Great to keep him around, and team friendly contract.

We'll see fewer monster slam dunks, though.

Thing 1: Don't ever mess with team chemistry.

Thing 2: Show the rest of the league we're more focused on a championship than payroll.

Meant to change the 2 to a 3 and add a 6 at the end there, but can't edit things around here any more. (3-6 times the minimum by then, based on how his contract either increases or decreases)

What McConnell did in the Knicks series was masterful, especially game 7. I would hate him if he wasn't a Pacer

I'm assuming the answer is probably yes, if we also move on from Myles next summer, which I think is probably the right move. Would be curious to hear an updated financial outlook from you.
One thing people tend to forget is that we don't start paying Mathurin next season. He is on the final deal of his rookie contract. We can still pay Turner to bring back next year and make some bigger decisions at the start of the 2026-27 season.

Mathurin will be a restricted free agent so we can match any offer. Not to mention, if Mathurin breaks out the way that we hope, then you create cap-room by moving Toppin or Nesmith.

The one thing this deal does signal to me is that I-Jax has a very slim chance of returning.

As far as the 500 error, when I hit post and it pops up I just hit the refresh button and it posts. One extra step
