    2024 Summer Olympics Thread

Figure we could use a thread for this. Anyone watching the US-Canada scrimmage right now? Canada is up 12-4 toward the end of the first quarter. Dillon Brooks and LeBron have already had a moment. Ty and Andrew should be coming off the bench soon.

So far, Kerr having Edwards be the primary ball handler with the second unit and play Ty off ball. Not going great.

US up 41-33 at the half. Their size has been a big problem for Canada and they have a huge rebounding advantage and quite a few blocks. Neither Pacer has scored, though Tyrese has some steals and assists.

I'm hoping this team isn't going to rely on the bench so much like last year's team did. The starters really have to get going earlier (they were better to start the third). Embiid needs to shed some kgs.

Hali played some great defense in that game against Canada. Love to see it.
People say he can't guard anybody, I just think he has spent the better part of his pro career honing his offense to this point. Any player that can explode off the dribble, get all herky jerky like he does has the foot speed to play defense effectively.

I was able to attend USA vs Australia with my family this evening. What an amazing experience. Icing on the cake was Haliburton hitting those clutch threes in the 4th. Great night of Basketball

Thanks for posting. Did sound like the crowd was split on who to root for. Any other details your experience?
You know how hippos are made out to be sweet and silly, like big cows, but are actually extremely dangerous and can kill you with stunning brutality? The Pacers are the NBA's hippos....Matt Moore CBS Sports....

Tyrese got only 7 minutes off the bench yesterday, the lowest on the team, probably because his defense was kind of useless against a long, athletic team like Sudan.

I have to say, I find it hilarious that Team All-star beat Team USA in the WNBA
