I was half hoping for that myself by the 4th quarter. When you treat defense as an afterthought you give a less talented team a chance if they can hit shots. Lucky that the vets took over in the 4th and put some effort into it.

Watching the women play now and it's such a contrast.

The team has rotational issues that Kerr has refused to solve, they may brute force their way to a gold medal but with less talent this team would have lost yesterday for sure. Embiid for example has not bought into being the defensive and rebounding force team USA needs from their big man, his little flurry of scoring in the 4th over shadowed several missed defensive rebounds and bad defensive plays.

And yes I know as Pacers fans we have rose colored glasses towards Haliburton, but every great modern Team USA since the 2004 debacle has featured a pass first point guard in the starting lineup and Kerr not doing this has created a lot of issues for the team IMO. Curry is so talented though it didn't matter yesterday.

Great game by Embiid yesterday. But now that they're about to play France in the gold medal game, makes him look even weaker. Could've had the chance to do the impossible

          Haliburton cheerleading score: 111/100.
Being unable to close out a game in which you have a comfortable lead in the 4th Q = Pulling a Frank Vogel

Not sure what to say about what Curry did those last 2 minutes. France came to play. Good thing we did too.

Curry should be the MVP. He carried the last 2 games

Steph is a 1 of 1 alpha dog. The type we do only see every 20 years. He was this generation's guy.

I'm not sure why any of this matters tbh I mean isn't the goal to win Gold? Does it matter how at this point.

Who were you going to bench for Haliburton? Curry lol? Holiday? Tyrese cannot guard even close to as well as Jrue. Tyrese understood he wasn't good enough, and was more than happy cheering on his teammates.

Now Tatum barely playing is a terrible look for Steve Kerr, and he deserves to be fired.

Yeah, the guy is just a ridiculously sick savant/machine. Some absolutely unbelievable performances from him these last few games.

Hot take: Give me prime Curry over Lebron. Only thing Lebron has over him is size FOR defense. Curry is more clutch, cold blooded than him.

Both have 2 MVP's and 4 rings. I usually discount Curry's 2 rings with Durant but LeBron did the same thing in Miami
