    absolute nonsense.
v phila he went 2 for 6 (some 3's were shotclock needed) yes that is not really good, but equal to Turner's 4 for 11 and better than Nembhard 3 for 11
It seems if Nembhard can't stop someone we put Math on them and then cry that he can't defend, he does well (eyetest) can he get better, yes a lot even, can he score? yes better than 95% of our roster, is he aggressive ? yes more than 90% of our roster, does he scramble? yes more than 85% of our roster, on top of that he's a willing passer and outside of Siakam name me one player who can create his own shot at will?
"Shot not falling" is that why against Orlando he took 1 shot and 2 FT? (and made all btw) ??

I understand (well not really) why people do not like him, but it has nothing to do with his capacity to play the game of basketball, and certainly not with defense, for if that is an issue why is Turner still on the team, please tell me what he does better than Mathurin, except being tall.

Rick's schooling may work with his kids, but his "treatment" of Mathurin is definitely in need of a 2nd opinion.

In the Philly game, I thought turner didn’t play well also. He even failed entry post passes to siakam. But the pacers don’t have any better option.

same for nembhard, the pacers don’t have any better option against maxey.

now to mathurin. It’s not about not liking him. As I still believe the pacers next leap require math to take the next step.

But in the Philly game I thought he played poorly. His shot is off, and his defence was really bad. In the 2nd qtr, he was not even guarding maxey. He was matched up against Ubre and Gordon, and he lost them a few times.

I don't understand how you expect him to take the next step if the team doesn't give him an opportunity every time he has a bad game. There isn't a single player on this team who had a single great game except maybe Siakam.

Mathurin was a huge reason why we aren’t winless this year. We were down pretty consistently against Detroit until he got in the game. The Knicks game certainly wasn’t his fault as our whole starting lineup dropped the ball. To then limit his mins the past 2 games is pretty questionable, particularly as our offense did not look great and our defense was hot garbage regardless.
Peck is basically omniscient when it comes to understanding how the minds of Herb Simon and Kevin Pritchard work. I was a fool to ever question him and now feel deep shame for not understanding that this team believes in continuity above talent.

Listening to the latest Setting the Pace episode right now and Golden just brought up an interesting point: when Tayshaun Prince was a rookie for Detroit, Rick only played him 10 minutes per game. However, the next year Larry Brown came in and Tayshaun averaged 33 minutes per game for Detroit in his second season.

If only tonight’s game got him fired I might believe him he Pacers value winning but it won’t

I don't agree that Rick is the problem this season, at least not to this point.

Rick can win me back if he benches Haliburton and says something along the lines of "We believe on this team you have to earn the minutes" when questioned by the media.

The main problem is Haliburton sucking. But the defense is really atrocious. It's crazy that we have Siakam putting up superstar numbers (he's one of the most efficient scorers in the league) yet the record is this bad. And the secondary talent - Mathurin and Turner, solid bench - the team shouldn't suck this much. This is the most talented roster we had in the last decade, we haven't had this much talent since the PG era! Rick needs to learn how to utilize this talent to get wins

Another great decision to bench Moses when he scores 11 points in 7 minutes. Then proceed to give him just 5 more minutes for the rest of the game. Way to go HOF coach
