If you have checked out, when did it occur? Were you never really into the season? Did you fall off after Tyrese went down? Did you lose it when Tyrese came back but we still continued to lose? Other?

Nothing has changed for me since the season started, I've wanted the best possible pick this year. I'm disappointed that we didn't move Turner and Hield for future picks but there is still hope so I haven't checked out. If we make the play in tournament that's when I'll check out. I can't pick any of your poll options. Why do teams tank? Ask a Spurs fan. -
I will be here until the last shot and anxiously waiting for next season. I just hope they can get a good pick for next season no matter where they fall as long as it is a good choice. My bigger hope is they can find a trade for a great player that fits their timeline to round out this team. If the trade involves Myles and/or Heild so be it.Comment

This has always been a rebuilding season for me so the results never factored on whether I'd watch or not. W-L record was and is irrelevant to me, what matters is the development of the young players and, thankfully, we have done amazingly in that regard. Hali has blossomed into a star-level player, Mathurin has showed that he has the potential to be a 20+ PPG scorer and Nembhard has been much, much better than I personally expected.
I haven't been able to watch as many games as I did in the previous seasons due to an increased workload (it was easy to watch every game as a university student, definitely not as easy when you have to wake up 2 hours after the game finishes ) but that has nothing to do with how the team has performed. That's just how life works.Originally posted by IrishPacer

Copied this out of the post 76'ers game thread. I feel this way about pretty much all our games, happy when we win, looking for progress when we lose.
I was frustrated that we weren't more competetive in the game but it showed me some things about the Pacers and the NBA.
1. There are 3 teams at the top of the Eastern conference -- Bucks, 76'ers, and the Celtics all the others are a major step down the ladder.
2. I expect the Pacers to work hard on their defense for next year, both in the defenseive scheme, emphasis on practice on defense and a mobil big man to play PF.
3. Everyone knew this was a development year, Mathurin, and Nembhard have both exceed our expectations. We have picked up a couple of people that will play in our rotation next year in NeSmith and Nwora
4. We are very young and play like it at times, but looking back at the start of the season I do see a lot of improvement.
I agree with Mark Boyle this team is about 2 years away from a real shot at the finals. (this, of course, can change due ot injuries as we are well aware of) --- Yes that's bad english but "of which we are well aware" sounds awkward.
The team is exciting to watch even when we lose.Go Pacers!Comment

I was very into this season before the Hali injury and slide in the rankings.
Now I’m pro tank but at the same time if we sneak into the play in and Haliburton puts on a show and we surprise people, that would be fun and I’d be all for it.*removed* Just keep politics and religion completely out of it, please.Comment

I have been a Pacer fan since 1970 and will always be a fan...win or loseI would rather be the hammer than the nailComment

Watched every minute of the first 25 or so games and then tuned out completely. Had nothing to do with interest in the Pacers and everything to do with quality of the NBA product. This is NOT basketball. The NBA was in a great place just before Stern called it quits around 13/14 and has fallen off a cliff under Silver.Comment

I’ve not checked out since the JOB era. But I’m irritated by the wins lol. I’m dying for a top-6 pick again this year and Hali is too d*mn good to stay there, and as the season progresses the rest of the team has been improving. If we make the playoffs, I’ll be cheering for wins. But until that point, I’m team tank. But altogether dialed into this team and this era. It's a new day for Pacers Basketball.Comment

Checked in. work is busy filing taxes and mowing around the corner, but check box scores consistently.
still vested to see where we end up, no idea of RC is tanking, or aiming for playin but I have more interest in seeing pacers land top 6 pick. i dont know how many more chances this team will have at a top 7 lottery pick in stacked draft. will cheer on play in but realistically for this franchise right now better draft odds at top tier talent is the preference.
enthused about direction the team is going. young team, some draft assets, positive steps the right direction. next season expect playoffs, this year really more vested in pacers draft prospects.Comment

Had to laugh reading your comment. Talk about truth. The Mrs. and I would come in from THaute (only had the 10 game package) and we would usually spend the first half shopping in Plainfield before arriving at the ball game. Watch the third quarter and head home early so we could get the extra sleep for work the next day. JOB was even worse than the nightmare of the early 80s in George Irvine which is almost impossible.
You know how hippos are made out to be sweet and silly, like big cows, but are actually extremely dangerous and can kill you with stunning brutality? The Pacers are the NBA's hippos....Matt Moore CBS Sports....Comment
