I'll tell you what we can't do and that is sign a bunch of nobody's or old burnouts to 3 year 10 million a year with the last year being a team option contracts and call it a success. That is what they did to Paul George and he went from a talented team that made it to the back to back EC finals to a team that could barely make the playoffs and lost in the first round. No more Rodney Stucky, C.J. Miles, LaVoy Allen or Monte (I could never beat Granger) Ellis type players.

We have to do everything in our power to surround him with at least another high end player and a crew of at least moderately successful role players. We have a good start, we just have to keep building and not be satisfied with what we have.

Them giving Theis playing time over the future just because they are trying to make playoffs is Pacers pulling a Pacers.

Small s*** like that always ends up costing you down the road.

My only hope, and believe me I know the team we are talking about here, is that they literally have to give him some playing time in advance of the trade deadline just to show teams he can play. That being said, yes if he is given the backup minutes for the rest of the year I will consider this a huge failure of our teams overall development and yes it would be both the most Pacers and Carlisle thing ever.

Right now, I'd totally take a LaVoy Allen type player. Big man that can body and rebound, that doesn't need the ball on the offensive end. Perfect for our current set-up. Just needs to move a little faster, that's it

Never forget Pacers winning a game against the Bucks at the end of the season so guys like Bills could celebrate like they won the superbowl just for them to drop two spots in the draft just because this is Indiana and we have the three TTT’s.

Hali is a very loyal player. As long as the FO doesn't treat him like crap, he'll stay and retire as a Pacer. Remember when he was traded, he said he was hurt. Said he imagined finishing his whole career as a King (who ever says that?)

That’s the innocence every player got until they have to deal with the same bs for many years.

PG, Dipo and Sabonis got tired of the bs

He will not be eligible for the supermax which is another step up (35 percent of the cap) because that is for players with more experience.
I didn't know you could qualify for these raises with only one All-NBA. We might as well pencil in 30% of the cap now and 35% later because there's a good chance he will to earn it.

It's either the most recent season before the extension kicks in or two of the last three. That's why this season doesn't matter. Since he didn't get there last year, and since next year would qualify him no matter what, that makes this year meaningless.

If not mistaken, starting 2 all-star games triggers these raises also.

Tieing player salaries to these awards seems like bs to me, but that's a whole other topic.

It all depends on how the team spends money, asset management, and who becomes available in the next few years as far as star players are concerned. All three are connected.

Pacers have to be careful not to pull a Pacers 4 times on a row.
Turner just broke the streak, he signed his third contract. The team is changing its ways!!!!
